There is a tang for the first 10 minutes or so (hot tea) but the flavor is deeper/richer than typical fruity teas. I think I prefer this to the Berry Up tea (also from David’s Tea) when hot. But both are lovely iced. The flavor is so berry sweet that you wouldn’t have to add sweetener of any kind.
Preparation
Has a tang to it like a ‘raspberry zinger’ type of tea. But I like it, hot or cold. Just make sure to use the full 2 teaspoons, because I used 1.5 teaspoons to try and get two cups out of the last little bit that I had left and it just wasn’t the same.
Preparation
first tea I ever bought! I had a cold and was looking for ginger tea. I found DavidsTea shop and the sales lady showed me a whole lot of loose teas—it was an impressive, overwhelming, and a feel-good experience, all at the same time :) and oh yea, my cold went away after drinking this ginger tea :)
Preparation
So good. This is such a good dessert tea. I really enjoy having this tea in the evening… it’s so smooth and tasty, with no caffeine. I love the caramel flavor, and add a tsp of agave nectar to my cup to satisfy my sweet tooth. I could drink this tea every evening.
Preparation
This spice based chai is a rather delicious one. Although it’s spice based, the flavor is surprisingly smooth on the palate.
The loose tea is very nice to look at. With its red peppercorns, broad leaves, red rooibos and other ingredients and’s a collection of visuals to keep your eyes budy. The aroma hints at cinnamon but has plenty of the cardamom and peppercorns to provide a feisty play in the nose.
The liquor brews up a beautiful orange gold and smooths the aroma providing a savory sweet collection of flavor suggestions including coconut, ginger and peppercorn.
I like this tea best with milk. I’ve always traditionally made chai with milk as that’s how I was taught by Indian friends of mine. This tea is ‘ok’ without milk. But it really comes alive with milk added.
I recommend this chai to fans of other chai blends, especially Pumpkin Spice chai blends. Fans of cinnamon teas will also find this a palate pleaser.
Preparation
This tea is growing on me, and I find I enjoy it more with a bit of milk. I was hoping that the mate would be a better stimulant to help with my coffee cravings, but it’s not really giving me enough of a “buzz” for lack of a better term. I still enjoy it though.
Preparation
I tried this on ice today and it hit the spot! Naturally sweet, just the right amount of sweetness. Beautiful pink color, and I think it tastes just like fresh watermelon. I didn’t really taste strawberry or apple, but it was very refreshing and smooth.
Preparation
Fresh smell, and a mild watermelon flavor. A real watermelon has more flavor for sure. I can taste the honeydew as well, and that could be why this tea isn’t a strong watermelon flavor (I think honeydew takes over). The strawberry and apple are going un-noticed, so if that’s what you’re looking for, look somewhere else. And don’t buy this if you don’t care for honeydew.
Try this one on ice.
Preparation
MMM, aroma is very maple, and taste is rooibos and maple together. I like this one hot. I’ve read that David’s Tea ships to the U.S. pretty quickly so no worries for tea drinkers to the south – don’t be shy, give ‘Oh Canada’ a try!
Preparation
k – so i am a very positive person and i cracked up laughing thinking there is a tea out there to calm your anger ….so i bought a bunch of it…then figured, maybe i should try it to see if i like it – well wouldn’t you know my blood pressured just plummited and next thing going i’m fighting to stay awake because i keep getting knocked out by this tea – i only had a couple of mouth fulls….i would definitely err to caution on this potent tea . the day i get really pissed, sure it will work. but if you are happy -go-lucky like me, be prepared to be knocked out! [now who is more aggresive in nature, eh?]
Preparation
I smelled this one on about 3 or 4 different trips to David’s Tea. I kind of liked the smell, but wasn’t too sure about it. Tonight when I went in search of more green teas (since my last excursion for greens ended up with 4 more blacks in my cupboard), I smelled it again, and it was a definite yes.
I’m sorry I waited so long on this one. The smell of the dry leaves is nice and vanilla-y, with a bit of earthiness lurking behind. When I first started to brew it, my heart fell, as the vanilla scent evaporated, and left just an earthy scent that wasn’t terribly appealing to me. Well, I’ll try any tea once, and I’m glad I did. This is a very mild, easy to drink flavour. There’s a nice hint of vanilla without smothering the flavour of the roasted bancha. There’s a touch of dryness to the tea, but nothing unusual, and there’s no bitterness. It’s very comforting.
My fiance tried a sip, and said it reminded him of genmaicha, which is somewhat true for me as well. It has the same soothing, comforting essense as a nice genmaicha, while not being quite so warming.
As I reach the bottom of the cup, I do notice a few small beads of oil on top of the drops left. I noticed the oil at the beginning of the cup, but the tea does not have an oily mouth-feel. I expect it’s from the vanilla essence.
Also, I can’t say it’s a beautiful cup of tea. When I took the infuser out, the first thing that came to mind was swamp water, especially with that oil sheen on the top. Definitely not the most attractive thing I’ve had in my cup, but so so tasty. Definitely worth a try, and sooner rather than later.
Preparation
This was a sample sent by TEAEQUALSBLISS. Thanks! The aroma is grape-y, almost like a soft drink or candy. Smells good! The flavor is fruity and good without tasting like candy. It has enough flavor to keep your interest, not enough tartness or fruitiness to overpower. The aroma is the big thing with this one. A good tea, and very refreshing on this hot day.
Preparation
Mixed in some Lapsang Souchong with the Golden Pu-erh today. The result was delicious.
Preparation
Recently I was making some pulled pork in my crockpot (just a pork pot roast, onions, chilli sauce, etc). Since pork goes well with fruity things I brewed a cup of Forever Nuts and dumped it in my mixing bowl along with other seasonings. Then poured everything over the roast and let it sit in there for about 10 hours.
I’m really glad that the finished product was not too sweet. The Forever Nuts is pretty noticeable while you’re eating, but it’s kind of a different flavor because its been mixed with a bunch of other ingredients.
The recipe is pretty average, but if you want it just send me a private message.
