This is not a bad thing though. When i drink a tea with jasmine, its meant to be a relaxer, so the stronger the better, up to a point. Steeped somewhere between 3:30 And 4:00 minutes.

Steeped somewhere between 3:30 And 4:00 minutes.Brewed unsweet – Naturally sweet from the jasmine and very flowery. nice soft mouthfeel , creats a smooth blanket of warmth on the roof of my mouth.

Sweetened. With honey, Pulls the jasmine out with force, as well as the green tea flavor. Works very well with the honey.

I think, with a little bit of time, this may be up there with the only other green i like (casablanca twist by adagio).

Good Night All.

So.. not real sure why the post acted in such a funny way… just try and ignore it.

Angrboda

I’ve seen that happen once before. The poster said everything looked completely normal on their end until they saw the post afterwards and couldn’t fix it. It’s like the site has the hiccups or something.

Thank you god for Teavivre. I received a sample of this in the mail today and i gotta tell you all…. it rocks. I haven’t reached out much as far as different companies for teas, and before today, besides Lipton and Twinnings boxed bags, i had not ventured past Teavana and Adagio. So… needless to say, i love this tea. It is nice and affordable and just perfect.
So.. with further a due: The Review.

Opening the bag is always interesting because the first hit of the aroma is always invigorating, however, I was almost disappointed when i didn’t smell anything when i opened the bag. it didn’t take long to realize that, upon looking in the first bag, i found several smaller bag actually holding the tea. i fiddled with those smaller bags and when i was done…PERFECT. The Aroma was out of this world. A bold, black mildly sweet and a touch spicy scent waffed into my face and filled me with joy. I put a teaspoon into my Tea-rex steeper and steeped the tea for 3 ish minutes at about boiling 212 degrees. After the steeping, the leafs we sweet and open and the liqueur was amber-gold color.

The first, unsweetened sip: Roasty and earthy, as would be expected from a black tea, nice and bold with a little peppery aftertaste ( but nothing like the Yunnan i’m used to.) Second sip, still earthy, little coco and a little spice but very much a bold tea flavor.

First sweetened sip (1 half teaspoon clover honey): In the dry leafs i detected a sweet aroma that didn’t come through in the unsweetened sip, but now it is brought to the front and center. Not to heavy but silky mouth feel and over excellent taste and aftertaste.

In closing, an Amazing tea, if i was better off with money, i would invest heavily in a good order of this.
Thank you Angel for your generous sample. I feel your generosity will work wonders for you and for you company.

You wanna know how awesome my beautiful wife is… awesome enough to have a hot cup of tea waiting for me at the table when i get home from work (yea, your jealous). And to think, i thought she married me for my money (which i have none of)…lol jk. anyways. Yunnan noir is as yunnan as it gets. deep bold taste, color, and a wonderfully earthy aroma.
As with most yunnan teas, you get a little bit of that pepper bite. i love it so…

Morning Tea…

Well, i mean, kinda. if your gonna argue that “technically” 12:30 pm isn’t morning, my argument will surely be something along the lines of “Oh, Yeah, Well my morning starts when my 9 month old daughter wakes up… to day she woke up at quarter after Noon so now being half past noon, still qualifies as morning.” Anyway… needed a real kick in the but to get moving this morning and i have also stopped drinking coffee, i don’t own any mate so… Black tea anyone?

I like this golden monkey, a lot more in fact, compared to the teavana golden monkey. It’s nice and earthy with an undertone of sweet, which comes out a little more with a touch of honey. Without sweetener, wonderfully bold and dark, a little roasty and a little spicy. Over all, This tea has won a place on my top ten list…

I will probably be on at about 7 to latepost on “lunch” and “dinner”. Till then i bid thee, adue

I picked this tea up from the adagio website on my first ever adagio order and i’ve gotta tell ya guy…i don’t regret it at all. Now, i really don’t know much about china or geography but the package to this tea says that its from fujian… now having said that, it think its a little more bold and darker then the Yunnan Gold, but its not as naturally sweet as the gold either. it is higher quality then the Yunnan Noir (and don’t get me wrong, i love all of these teas) i feel like this one is a more everyday kinda tea compared to the Yunnan Gold.

It’s a wonderful dark amber liquor and musky robust flavor. It kinda has a honey smell to the dry leaves and it tastes slightly of honey after steeping.

Will write more soonish, gotta go to work. Later Steepster.
