Oh YUM! I love smooth blacks and this one is delish. I put honey in my black tea, so when I see the name HONEY right in the name, I know this tea is for me (despite the fact that it doesn’t contain honey). To me, it reminds of my Twinings Earl Grey – flavorful, yet smooth and mild. I think impossible to even oversteep. This easily has become one of my favorite blacks…
I am on a quest for the perfect Rooibos! Unfortunately, this isn’t it. I am still not super excited about chocolate in my tea, although chocolate and Rooibos do go together quite well. It’s the mint that is really out of place here. Mint belongs in an herbal tea – not a Rooibos. It’s still okay to drink, but nothing special. Too bad…the quest continues…
I feel like this is a major Rooibos discovery! I haven’t found a Rooibos I liked as much as the Pure Vanilla – and I feel as though this one offers something new to the Rooibos family and yet still tastes delicious! It’s a smooth Rooibos – no hints of the nasty tobacco aftertaste – it’s all a smooth orangey tang to offset that. A wonderful evening tea for me!
