Thank you MissB for sharing this with me. I was seriously worried that I would not like this given it is a chai with licorice root. However, sipping on it now, it really is not bad. I don’t think it is something I will be stocking but I am also not looking to find someone to pawn it off on either. The most prominent flavor is cloves but all the other spices are present and balanced. Not bad though not necessarily for me.

Here’s another sipdown from my *Sil*box.
This is actually quite tasty! Thanks to Robert the Devotea, my homemade chai making will never be the same. I used the whole sample with 16oz of vanilla almond milk, letting it warm up slowly in a pan for quite some time. After about 20 minutes I started bringing up the temp, until it was nice & hot (but not boiling).
It took a lot longer to make than it is taking to drink, LOL.
The blend of spices is very nice with this cup, with ginger & a molasses taste being up front.

i quite liked the justea teas, though this one would have to be made traditional style for me to get behind it

Ah, I remember now why I didn’t order this in my jusTea buy a few months back. While I love the company and want to support it in any way that I can, most of their offerings are just outside my interest… and so I share it with friends and colleagues around the world.

This came in the last (May 2014) Amoda box. Lots of flowers in the blend, which in a chai I’m actually cool with; I find it adds a hint of smooth sweetness to the blend (usually). In this case, that’s exactly what it does, and I quite like it. I’ve obviously had it before from the rating, and I’ll keep it at that, however I doubt I’d go out of my way to order this. I do like it, it’s a very, very good chai.. just outside my tastes at this time.

Bummer that Amoda canceled their program. Great price point for a monthly sampler. I’m hoping they come back with something as good or better for us all :)

Handmade tea has a good price one.

They sound interesting, but sadly it’s US only. At least Amoda was in Vancouver so it gave us Canadians an option. Fingers crossed that their new program is as good or better than the current one!
