Sipdown! I made a pot of this and refrigerated it because it’s starting to lose its freshness and so I need to use it up quickly.

I really don’t know why I didn’t do this earlier! You’re supposed to drink mojitos cold anyway, so no wonder this tasted better chilled. I also added sugar to it, which took some of the edge off of the bitter blackberry notes.

I may have overleafed the pot in my anxiety to use the tea up before it loses its flavor. As such, the first few sips were quite bitter and the blackberry almost knocked me over. But I kept drinking it, and it did mellow out (or perhaps my tastebuds just got used to it?) into a nice cold green tea with notes of mint and raspberry.

I always find that adding sugar to a blend with mint in it will bring that mint out, and I think in the case of this tea, the mint needs all the help it can get. Blackberry can be quite a dominating flavor, and this tea is a prime instance of that. Punching up the mint with sugar really helps balance that tartness.

Bottom Line: Drink it fresh, drink it cold, and for the love of God, put some sugar in it!

Strong fruity smell upon opening the bag. Grabbed this on one of my Teavana excursions a few weeks back. I love the ingredient list, and thought this would be a nice sip to enjoy.

Is there a ton of mint in it? No. I’m used to a strong mint flavor with my mojito’s, so this is a bit surprising as I drink it to think, “minty freshness with a pop of berry”, like I was expecting. I can taste the mint – right at the front of the sip – yet I still want more. More!

Very fruity, and that’s likely enhanced even more so by the Truvia I added. Darker though, and a touch drying (in a good way). Is there green tea in here? Have yet to taste it at all. Think I might add some extra mint tea to this blend the next time I drink it.

I mixed this tea with Weight to Go Pu-erh from Teavana – it balanced the tea out very nicely and gave it more flavor than what the Blackberry Mojito had on its own. Plus, the two teas have mint in them so it’s a refreshing cool finish :)

Wow, not what I was expecting. When I smelled it, I was overwhelmed by the raspberry/blackberry smell and so I expected it to taste bitter. But it’s not. I may add more peppermint to it next time. I suspect it will be better cold. Perfect for summer.

Eh, it tastes fake and artificial. And I guess that would be fine if it tasted really good, but it’s not that good. Better iced and with sugar, but it gets really light that way. Like the flavors are supressed

A pleasantly fruity tea with a light green tea flavor. Not exactly what I’m looking for in a blackberry tea, but one of the closest I’ve bought.

The smell while steeping is a bit overwhelming, but the mojito/rum smell came through fairly well along with the very strong berry smells. I let it steep for 90 sec since there’s a lot more herbal than actual green tea to the mix and it came out nice. The berry flavor is there, although I’d like more true blackberry flavor to come through, and the mojito flavor was absent. Still, it’s a nice herbal/berry mix. I added just a little agave nectar to help round out the sweetness.

Still berry fruity and berry refreshing, this green tea is a nice way to come down from a relatively long Tuesday.
