From The Tea Girl

This tea is a perfect balance of vanilla bean flavour and sweet malty assam tea with jasmine and snow white cornflower blossoms. The black tea is a FBOP blend of organic assam teas

Blenders Notes: Vanilla can enhance many flavours and is an amazing accompaniment to black tea. The vanilla flavouring lends a sweetness to the black tea’s natural astringency making the infusion a delight to sip without added sugar. A magical vanilla sparkle can be seen on the tea as the dry leaves catch the light.

Ingredients: organic black tea, cornflowers, flavour.

Another neglected sample, this one from Courtney. I’m not generally very into vanilla-flavored black teas, so that’s probably why it’s lingered this long.

It’s nice though. The Assam is flavorful but not too sharp, and the vanilla reminds me of vanilla extract, which is a good thing. It’s sweet but not overly so, with hints of creaminess and florals, and woody undertones. Pleasant, but not my thing!

This is would be good if you’re into vanilla. The base is smooth and the vanilla is well balanced and at the forefront.

V is for…Vanilla Bean

A lot of the “V” teas are vanilla teas by The Tea Girl that Sil was super kind to share with me. Thank you, Sil!! So I figured if I was going to try a number of vanilla teas by the same company, I should start with just the straight vanilla and go from there.

I was taking my pictures of the steeped tea and it smelled so good. That had me all sorts of excited for the cup. That and the fact that Sil enjoys the vanilla from this company and she has tried a lot of vanilla before and tends to enjoy the ones I enjoy.

Drinking it now, I am so happy it delivers a great vanilla taste. This vanilla is somehow both creamy and floral. It also has a pretty full black tea base that is present but doesn’t interfere with the vanilla at all. So far, so good.
