I have only had Dragon Pearls from another company, and for the price, Teavivre were better!!! Full of flavor. I have been chugging this tea for school, and it’s pretty much my go to for afternoon/early evening.

Medium level of caffeine

It’s just a wonderful black tea. I only like drinking it hot. It needs NOTHING added to it, it’s perfection on its own.

Hello, I have taken a huge break from tea reviewing, even though I have drinking tons and tons of new teas! This one made me realize I need to review it, since no one has yet done it!

This one is reminds me of a foggy spring morning…sorry for the flowery description, but that’s what the taste feels to me. It has a strange brewing time for a green tea…5-8 Minutes! I thought for sure that it would be bitter as a lemon. And it has no astringency whatsoever. It’s just mellow. It reminds me of a white tea! You can see the leaves as they open that they are youngsters.

I would gladly have this tea on a break from his bitter green tea cousins. I could see this tea be nice iced, too. I have a pattern I do this with most Japanese green teas. I brew them hot twice, and on my last brew, I throw cold water over it, and let it brew once more overnight in the fridge for just one more go with the leaves.

I am on my 2nd brew, and it’s lost some of it’s depth. Not sure what the steps to rebrew this tea would be.

Flavors: Cut Grass, Wet Earth

Preparation
180 °F / 82 °C 5 min, 0 sec 1 tsp 6 OZ / 177 ML

This is one of the better tasting black currant teas I have tasted. Juicy, no artificial notes. A good brisk black tea base. It’s a very rich tasting tea. I see myself buying more, but the price steers me away.

I am updating my review, this makes for a good iced tea. As a hot tea, I felt none of the depth comes out. When served cold, all the depth up to the forefront.

I bought this on a whim, reading about it being malty. This tea just rocks! Slight cocoa, sweetness, coffee like notes. I even got my mom to drink this, and she won’t drink 99% of the teas I try to get her to try! I would use this tea to introduce a coffee drinker into the tea world.

I rebrew it once, taste just as good. Just an all around delicious tea.

I use three pearls per 8 oz of water.

I got this as a free sample from my local store. I wanted a nice iced green tea. This fits the bill! Good green tea base, mellow, refreshing, no real astringency. The strawberry flavor is on a perfect level. I would buy this again.

I was really impressed with this genmaicha. I have tried sooo many brands, and this one is leveled up with Den’s Tea. It’s refreshing, full of unami. I tried it hot, and I see this being amazing iced. I prefer genmaichas made with sticky/sweet rice, I think the tea it just tastes all around sweeter and has more body.

I bought this since I am looking into touring the Dragonwell tea producing area of China. I never had Dragonwell tea before. I am more a Japanese green tea fan, so might point of view and taste come from that. I just wasn’t that impressed with this tea. It needs to cool down to have any depth to it. I used 2 tsp per 8 oz of water, and it still was very mild. I don’t know if Dragonwell is known for being weak. I taste the chestnut notes, but really nothing else remarkable.

NOM! I left to be my last tea I would drink in my package YuukiCha. This is a perfect Asatsuyu Sencha. It’s thick bodied, savory, buttery, lush. Not much astringency. I’ve only drank it hot, but would excellent iced. I’ll probably cold brew my 3rd infusion to get every bit from this tea.

Of all the Upton black teas I sampled, this one stood out. It brews to be crystal clear, makes for an amazing iced tea. Refreshing, brisk, no bitter, lush. I actually bought it with the intentions of making Hong Kong milk tea, but brought it to work to drink up. This is my first Uva Ceylon, I am very interested in what else the area provides.

I love cooking, sleeping, reading, reggae music, and tea. I also enjoying reading about tea, the culture and ceremonies, and the diverse types.

I think most the teas I drink are 80% iced, but on some days, it’s opposite that, especially days off! I can’t believe it took me this long to try different teas. Better now than never!

Reading the reviews help guide me to the right tea. I have been turned on to so many delightful brews.

I am ALWAYS up for swapping. Just PM me.
