Sorry T Salon- this one gets a vote of “no confidence” from me. High astringency with a lack of characteristic flavors/aromas. Score of 79 on Review #270 at Walker Tea Review dot com.

one of the highest scoring teas of 2010 by Walker Tea Review (93). lower astringency for a green, with smooth texture and green sweetness.
As seen in Review #171: http://goo.gl/Mgbj
So good, I added it to a Reserve Tea Package: http://goo.gl/8cOL
Provided by Grand Tea; mellow- rounding the corner from raw to smooth sipping. 92 points on Walker Tea Review #269
A truly delightful tea. Rich flavor and low astringency for a ming qian. 92 points on Walker Tea Review #268
A fine example of the under-appreciated value of aftertaste; great lasting character. Review 267 on Walker Tea Review
A slightly later harvest, so liquor is darker and the flavors more pronounced. In spite of this, astringency is still quite low.
powdery astringency flowed beautifully with light broth and extended aftertaste
WTR score of 79. Reviewed Aug ’09.
Due to poor balance of astringency, texture(broth), and flavor/aroma, I’d place this tea in the “avoid” category.
There are many other options to prefer over this one. I recommend an early or even mid-Spring harvest dragon well (long jing) from the West Lake area (Zhejiang Province).
Received a CONDITIONAL 85 on WTR. This dan cong has been infused with natural osmanthus flower. It is not an osmanthus oolong varietal with inherent osmanthus notes.
The difference between the 2 is like an actual rose and a flower that has been scented with rose oil.
This is not a negative reflection on thePuritea company as a whole. Their updated product description for their dan cong provides clarification.
WTR score of 88. Lighter in aftertaste (sweetness). Norbu has generally performed better in consistently sourcing ali shans.
compare to other ali shans on Walker Tea Review: http://walkerteareview.com/http:/walkerteareview.com/tag/ali-shan
WTR score of 92 because it is well balanced and extended aftertaste. However, if you are chasing more intense aroma, seek Rishi’s Bai Hao Hsinchu.
- light body
- extremely gentle aftertaste

Gave it an 83. Could have had stronger, more complex flavors/aromas.

silken body, with good balance of roasted and citrus flavor
The smokiness is something you learn to love or hate, but this tea is smoother with more balanced briskness than other lapsang souchongs. Join an online tasting of this tea: http://walkerteareview.com/?p=2373

I come back to this tea because of the brisk kick it gives and the peach/apricot fruit notes in the aroma and aftertaste
