7 Tasting Notes

Afternoon Darjeeling from Taylors of Harrogate

Lady Grey from Twinings

So much better than Earl Grey. Delicate and fragrant. You must get the loose leaf though for those beautiful cornflower petals that float in your teapot.

Sleepytime from Celestial Seasonings

White with Rose from Madame Flavour
89

A real treat, delicate rose flavour with soft white tea. I drink it with milk even though that breaks with tradition. The longer you steep it, the better it tastes, never seems to go bitter. Leaves/bags can be used several times.

Organic Darjeeling Estate from Mighty Leaf Tea
83

This is the tea they serve at my favourite local cafe. It is mild, nicely scented and the tea bags are loose and very generous. As an iced tea with milk, it is perfection.

Darjeeling from Twinings
71

My second choice for cheap Darjeeling because it is the only Darjeeling I can find at supermarkets here. Even then I can only seem to find it as teabags! Not a delicacy, but definitely drinkable. Twinings as a brand is consistent and trustworthy.

Darjeeling from Ahmad Tea
82

My favourite daily Darjeeling. Cheap but delicious with a nice fruity flavour with hints of floral when you get a good batch. I’m naughty and buy the teabags. Best with a tiny dash of milk.
