Green Citrus

Fruit Green Blend by BourgeaTEA

The light freshness of the Chinese Chinencha green tea pair well with the real citrus flavors of lemon and lime to make a fantastic lighter-bodied tea. Your taste buds and your nose will agree that the sensation of smelling and drinking Green Citrus is like a warm, blossoming spring day in which the flavors of winter still barely linger.

I brewed some of this last night. It’s pretty good. The sweetness intensifies as it cools, and by the time it reached a warm temperature (somewhere between hot and room temperature), I found myself unable to stop drinking it, as it was so tasty. Leads me to think that this would make a stunning iced tea.

The citrus flavor does not overwhelm the fresh, slightly grassy green tea taste. While hot, the lemon and lime flavors were very apparent (not too strong though, as I said), but as the tea cools, the flavors morph into an almost grapefruit-y taste. It was rather interesting. I like this.

MMMMM! That is all I can say for this tea right now. It tastes phenomenal. The aroma reminds me a bit of caramel sweetness, lemonade, and potpourri. I also smell an inkling of genmaicha, which smells a bit roasted and green. The taste is delicious. The flavor is green, and vegetal, but balances out the astringency from the tea and from the citrus very nicely. The tea glides smoothly in my mouth and leaves my mouth watering, craving more. I would definitely buy this one again, hands down.
