White Mu Dan Peony or “White Peony” is a rare tea that comes from the Fujian province in China. Only the tips and the beginning of the first two leaves are plucked. When infused, this tea has a unique nutty flavor that is mild and sweet.
Got the White Tea Sampler from Earthbound. . . so i’ve been having lots of Whites lately. Today I started off with White Mu Dan Peony. . .the nutty flavor of this tea is something I could get used to for a morning pot.
White tea in the morning you might ask? YES. This is one of the “stronger” white teas i’ve had. . . . but its so smooth at the same time.
I received this as a free sample when I purchased some tea to send to my HoppiTea Partner. This is a very good White Peony… it has a clean, crisp flavor and a lovely smoothness. Sweet, nutty flavor in the background. Mild and soothing. Nice!
