Valerian Root

Herbal Tea by Grey's Teas

Considered to be one of the most effective natural sedatives, valerian is known to relieve the effects of anxiety and calms where there is insomnia, irritability and tension. It does not have the hangover effects of many synthetic sleep inducing medications. Infuse in hot, not boiling water.

OMG! Dry…this smells like butt. Seriously. I’m not even joking.

Post infusion…it smells like a rare flower I can’t pick my finger on and the roots of trees…and maybe a bit of root beer.

It has a mellow flavor…almost lemon verbena esque and a bit of root beer flavor.

I have to admit it’s a bit harsh getting past the dry aroma but overall the taste isn’t bad for an herbally-herbal tisane.

(I’m now unplugging my nose – virtually)
Oye!
