Eventho this has a murky-type color to it post-infusion it’s pretty sweet on the tongue. It seems to be one of those craving-crusher type teas, too! YUM!
Kokei Cha is made from powdered Tencha, brilliant green leaves are ground into a powder, mixed with water to form a paste, then pushed through a fine mesh to produce the unique square-edged lengths of tea, then dried. It has a yellowish liquor having a refined ‘green’ taste. A traditional ceremonial tea, grown in Japan’s Shizouka region.
