Coco Caramel

Rooibos Tea by Teaopia

As its name suggests this dessert like tea is a blend of Rooibos, chocolate flakes, caramel pieces and natural aromas, the combination of which creates a chocolate-caramel flavour. This decadent tea is a great substitute or accompaniment for dessert and is safe to drink at night since it is naturally caffeine free. Chocolate lovers will be sure to get their fix with this delectable flavoured tea. Coco Caramel is perfect any time of day, hot or iced for tea and chocolate lovers.

If I had tried this tea before the Sweet Temptation from Tsaa… this would have definitely gotten a higher rating from me.
However, ST is superior in so many ways! It requires no additions (either milk or sugar) and has a cleaner, smoother flavour.
This one is a bit to astringent, and rougher around the edges. Also, the flavour is not as deep or complex.
Oh well. sighs It’s pretty good otherwise :)

Nutty and roasted smelling when I pour it into my cup.
I’m giving this one a “meh” grade. It’s just sort of there. I can taste/feel what seems to me like coco powder in my mouth. Caramel is lacking along with a real chocolatey flavor. I guess since Teaopia is no more I don’t have to worry about ordering more, but this one just wasn’t for me.

This is delicious!
Smooth, creamy, sweet but not sickly sweet.
Chocolate-y and caramel. An excellent dessert tea.
Definitely satisfies the chocolate craving for me.

I think I was expecting a little more chocolate flavor out of this one, but it’s not bad. Superior to the Bourbon Vanilla, but not as good as Mudslide or my straight Caramel from Urban Tea Merchant.

This is a nice tea for after dinner. I make this for my wife when it is late because it does not keep her up. Coco and caramel go so well together.
