From The Republic of Tea

Activating Herbs – Exercise? No doubt it should be a regular part of our routine. Some of us are disciplined movers and shakers and some of us are “working on it.” This inspired herbal blend is meant for both camps. With an organic green rooibos base, sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms, it employs holy basil, a powerfully rejuvenating herb that helps the body adapt as it copes with the physical stress of exercise while increasing endurance.* Licorice and maca root support the endocrine system, which works to keep all our systems in balance during and after exercise.

Get Active® was featured in Vital Juice as one of the latest healthy trends to try.

This smells so interesting – sweet and… something else. Savory? Worcestershire sauce? Soy Sauce? Something really bizarre… maybe it just reminds me of a meat spice rub. I’m not against savory teas, I really like New Delhi Delight from Davidsteas.
Flavor-wise, I can taste the rooibos which I like. Otherwise… I’m not sure. It’s kind of a weird savory tea. There is a hint of something minty which I think must be the holy basil.
Again… not bad, just VERY different!

Weeeeird. I would get all weirded out if my tea tasted like Worcestershire saurce.

You know, it actually turned out being not bad – it was more the scent of worcestershier sauce. As it cooled the flavor mellowed. It was a really weird first scent though!

I was very curious about trying this tea blend. It contains organic green rooibos, holy basil, licorice, indian sarsaparilla, maca root, acerola berries extract and natural orange and vanilla flavor.
I brewed the tea to boiling temperature. I steeped it for approximately five to six minutes.
While drinking this tea, I tasted sweetness as well as a tangy flavor. The liquor was an orange color. The aroma was a strong fragrance of licorice, a bit of vanilla, probably the maca root and the holy basil.
At first, I wasn’t sure how I felt about about the taste of complex flavors. It was completely new to my taste buds. I didn’t have such a good experience when drinking rooibos in the past,so I was hesitant. After taking a few more sips, I started to enjoy drinking it. It felt more energized that I usually do and definitely more alert!
I would say that this tea blend has made me realize that I would like to be more adventurous in the tea that I choose to try from now on. The adventure continues.

Drank this today with milk. The subtle vanilla flavor together with its earthy taste blends well.
