The other reviews were only luke warm on this. I LOVED it. I am a major fan of gojiberry. The addition of mango is a good choice. These two combined with the sencha make this taste a bit orange in mid sip. I bet this is awesome iced. 6 months from now I may care about that.

I was surprised this wasn’t in the database yet. Anyhow…I am backlogging this. Sometimes bagged green tea leaves a funky aftertaste – this did NOT. PLUS ONE, eh!? In the past I have had some bad tea flavoring experiences with Goji flavored stuff. Luckily this was a gently flavored green tea. Another PLUS! And I enjoyed this cup pretty well! It was a nice surprise! Yet another PLUS!

So…3 PLUSes…equals a PLUS type of review/rating.

I don’t think I would stock up on this but would certainly drink it on occasion if I came across it from time to time.

This tea bag looks like it had received a little rough treatment at some point. Probably just when it was in transit, from what I can tell. Inside the pyramid bag most of the leaves were whole and fine, but some clearly had been crushed at some point inside the bag, so there were a bit more, well… bits than I would prefer.

However this did not result in a bad tea at all! I perhaps lessened my steeping time by a small amount to prevent from over-brewing with the smaller pieces, but that’s all.

I was a little worried about the flavoring on this tea, since I have experienced some teas that just overdo it. Thankfully, Two Leaves and a Bud do not fit in that category with this tea! The goji and tropical flavors are very mild and pleasant. It just adds a sweetness to the tea. The liquor has a nice light yellowish color and the aroma is a bit sweeter than the tea itself (which was in its favor).

This is a tea that I would enjoy on a morning where I need just a mild wake up and something sweet instead of hearty. Not sure if I’d pick up too much at a time, but a few on hand would not go amiss!

Thank you to Two Leaves and a Bud for sending along this sample!

A gem for those looking to find subtle flavors in a quality green tea. Naturally flavored by several berries and botanicals, it is not overpowering like most berry-filled satchels. Despite the lack thereof, this can easily be overpowering and bitter if steep time is not obeyed. When following the directions, this is easily one of the most refreshing options on the market, hot or cold.

Grass notes of organic sencha are the first to bud on the palate. This quickly gives way to fruits, berry, and a suggestion of melon as it evolves over seconds. Bolder notes of cherry, and earthy nuts expand, giving rise to a mellow citrus finish.

Each sip is the stereotype of a rainforest stroll. A sensation I find most welcoming in the spring, summer, and fall months.

The original Tropical Goji tea was once far bolder with berries on the finish. Its replacement, the Organic Tropical Green being reviewed, is still a phenomenal sip for those looking to the calmer side of flavor profiles.

As a fan of bolder finishes, I consider the discontinued Goji Green a 97/100. The commercially available Organic Tropical Green still manages a 93/100, in the very least.

Not bad for a green tea in a bag. Had this one at a breakfast place in Davis this morning. Could use some more taste, it was a bit on the bland side, but what was there was very good. Nice and light, with hints of straw and grass. I could even sense a slight hint of butter. I little too light for my taste, though.

The scent of this tea was so scrummy. It was sweet and fruity, and I was excited to get brewing right away. And let me tell you, the taste of Tropical Goji Green was just as delicious as its smell. “Flavoring” can be a little tricky because it can overpower the tea, but in this tea it was a nice balance. The flavoring was fruity and slightly tangy, and this paired nicely with the fresh, grassy, and light sweetness of the green tea. I decided to go back for seconds and steeped the bag for a second time. The aromas mellowed a bit, but it was still good the second time around.

Bottom line, this tea was pretty darn tasty. I need more of this stuff because I’m thinking it would make a delicious iced tea. Think of how great it would be to enjoy this outside on a warm day while reading a good book. Fruity and refreshing, I’m sure!
