Green Tea by World Market

Full Leaf

A mellow and refreshing character that’s smooth with low astringency. This tea has a sweetly tasted chestnut aroma.

•Very subtle hint of a honey finish (sweetness).

Aroma:
•Artichoke
•Grass
•Very subtle hint of honey or honeysuckle light in the background.

(Note: I’m more of a Puerh and Oolong tea drinker. Someone that enjoys a Chinese Green Tea, might favor this tea more.)

The dark twisty leaves of this tea unfurl to brew a very light golden liquor. A very light vegetal flavor blends with a slight nutty/earthy richness. There’s something almost ‘crisp’ about this brew, it would probably make a great iced tea. I didn’t feel it needed any sugar added due to it’s light nature and lack of any bitterness.

Seems right at a minute thirty, 165 degrees F. It gets very bitter at higher temps over the two minute mark.

Flavor: Grassy and green, smooth at lower temp times.

Fairly smooth at a two minute steep time and at 165-185 F. Any longer and it seems to get bitter (to me).

If I drink green tea first in the morning, this has been my “go to” as of late (upping my rating).
