This one seems quite polarizing – I love grapefruit and ginger, so it’s no surprise to me that I like it because indeed it is heavy on the grapefruit with a big sprig of ginger to boot. I brewed it with hot water (boiled that sat for 2 minutes) for 5 minutes, served over ice. No green tea taste whatsoever if you ask me, just the slightly bitter and tart taste of grapefruit with some spicy sweet ginger. I didn’t add any sweetener but I bet it’d be a nice addition sometime.

This actually reminds me a lot of soda Squirt, which I also used to love. Grapefruit isn’t for everyone, but if it’s for you you’ll like this tea.

I wish this one was available all year round! I’m glad I took a chance on it during the sale and grabbed a couple skinny tins.

I’ve only tried it iced so far, but it’s already one of my all time faves in terms of iced tea. I love that it’s got a bit of caffeine from the black tea base, and a bit of a round, malty body from it too. Mostly it tastes like delicious apricot jam with ginger and cinnamon. I imagine it’d be quite black and maybe even with a splash of milk, too.

I brew about 1, 1.5 Perfect Spoons worth with near boiling water at about 7 minutes. For me it’s the perfect blend of fruit, black tea, and a hint of spice.

I hope DT brings this one back sometime.

I feel like this tea got a bum rap, mostly because it was part of the Malt Shop Collection which was kind of a weird interstitial one that didn’t actually seem to have a lot to do with ice cream minus the names. For instance, Strawberry Shake tastes far more like a strawberry green tea than it does some sort of shake. Being a green tea it also doesn’t really lend itself to being mixed with dairy, which would’ve potentially made it ice creamier…

All that being said, it’s a perfectly nice blend in and of itself. It’s a sweet strawberry with some rather subtle vanilla undertones and a nice, sort of dry green tea finish. I like it best iced with no sweetener.

I’m happy I’ve got a skinny tin of this, but I doubt I’d want much more. If you go into this tea expecting it to taste like a strawberry milkshake, you’ll be disappointed – but if you go in expecting a light, sweet strawberry green tea, you’ll be happy!

A decent iced tea, but a bit heavy on the hibiscus for me to be totally in love. It’s mostly hibiscus, orange, and a bit of pineapple. It’s refreshing in it’s way, but the hibiscus adds a kind of dry, not exactly thirst-quenching pucker to what is otherwise a perfectly nice, albeit light, orange tea.

I’ll easily finish out my bag (it makes a pretty nice tea pop!) but I’d not repurchase this one.

I used an entire sample for a pitcher of cold brew, and it turned out awesome! Tasted just like Cherry Kool-Aid, minus some sugar. There was some natural sweetness, but not so much that it felt sickly or like I was drinking something ‘bad’. There was also a good bit of tanginess.

A nice healthy alternative to more sugar-heavy juices and soft drinks.

Don’t think I’d try it hot though – not a fan of hot, sweet fruit teas.

Hm, well, it’s an odd one. I like Pu-erh teas, not my all time favorites but I can appreciate the nuance and the savory, earthy taste they sometimes carry. This one is pretty good, and the cardamom certainly makes the pu-erh more palatable, but it’s quite disorienting in some ways.

Specifically, it smells like fish when it’s brewing. Fish with a subtle hint of cardamom…sounds like a pretty nice dish, but not necessarily what I imagine when I’m brewing tea. So once it’s finished brewing (I followed Numi’s suggestion of about 4 minutes) it doesn’t taste like fish at all to me.

It’s got the earthiness I’ve come to expect with pu-erhs, and a nice thick body to it. There is a lot of cardamom, and over all it just tastes…okay. I like it, but I don’t think it will sway chai fans, for example, into the world of pu-erh based off of scent alone. And pu-erh connoisseurs may not appreciate the presence of cardamom. It’s not bad, but I just almost don’t know who it’s for…Well, as a fan of cardamom and pu-erh I think it’s pretty good. If you are in that venn diagram, you may like it as well.

You just can’t go wrong with this tea, in my opinion. I just use one David’s Tea spoon, unless I’m making a latte where I bump it up to two. I’ve had it black, great. I’ve had it with a splash of milk (how I usually take it), wonderful. I’ve had it as a latte, superb. It is just an all around excellent tea.

It’s sweet, but not too sweet, and spicy but not even close to being overwhelming. Most teas that are inspired by desserts or ‘real’ food to me come off as either very fake or just not even close. Somehow, someway, Cardamom French Toast does taste like french toast. A bit of a bready note with some body, sweet syrupy flavor, and of course some spicy/sweet cardamom.

Granted this tea has a lot of ingredients, nobody would call it natural, but it really works to curb sweet cravings for me, something other teas generally only halfway achieve. This one tastes like a dessert, even with just a tablespoon of milk.

If it is ever in danger of being discontinued again, I’ll have to do a decent stock up. And then cry.

I agree with other reviewers who note that this tastes more like cherry than cranberry, but that being said I think it’s actually quite a lovely sweet tea for a chilly evening. I’m usually not a big fan of hot, fruity teas – but this one has enough vanilla and a touch of spice to keep it from being to tangy or sharp, as I often find fruity teas are when served hot.

It’s chock full of Stevia so if you’re not into that, you won’t much like it here. For me personally, I think of Stevia as a lesser evil compared to sugar, and I’m glad that tea companies use it instead of sugar. That being said, you can taste it in this blend.

If you don’t mind stevia, it’s a very soothing cherry vanilla tea that gets tangier as it cools. I’m sure fans of fruity teas & vanilla would very much enjoy this one. For me, it makes a nice change of pace on the occasional evening.
