15694 Tasting Notes
we’ve got some duplicate entries going on for the new david’s tea collection but this one has the most notes on it so logging it here. They gave me this as a free sample in store today. I was pretty much convinced i didn’t want any of the winter collection based on the fact that i generally don’t like david’s tea and other steepsterites had posted such “glowing” reviews for the collection. However, free sample taste? sure.
Verdict? watered down pineapple upside down cake from della terra. More oily, less tasty…lacking in overall OOMPH. Pass.
want.more. sipdown! I had this one tonight in latte form and it is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good! seriously! I need to get on board the puerh latte train or something! I have a sneaking suspicion i’ll be trying this with more of my puerhs going forward…especially the few flavoured ones i have. so good! Thank you so much dinosara!! love it!
I had a cup of this in the late afternoon as a bit of a treat. I haven’t had any in aaaages and i wanted something light and fresh. This did the trick! I really like the light watermelon taste that Stacy has created with this one. It’s not something i always want in my cupboard but i love rotating it in occasionally :)
Oh geez, I STILL haven’t tried this even though I’ve had it since August! Do you like Cantaloupe and Cream more?
i like both flowery pineapple and cantaloup and cream more than this one. Not that this one is bad, but the other flavours are something i would reach for more often. This isn’t an artificial watermelon taste…it’s like freshly squeezed watermelon dilluted in water? of course that doesn’t sound delicious…but it’s good! I like it a bunch, just not enough for permanent status..but i feel that way about nearly all teas that aren’t black haha
I had a cup of this one today. I’m still trying to get around to tasting all my smaller samples so that I can be ready for orders at the end of the month. I had hopes for this one, as i love a good berry tea but this one falls short. I’m hoping that i can play with the steeping parameters a little and find it’s happy spot but it’s just lacking. I don’t know how to explain it any better than it’s just not as intensely flavourful as i want it to be.
SIPDOWN! (169) I’ve been drinking this one all week since i’ve gotten back in an effort to finish it up and enjoy it while it’s still fresh-ish :) I just haven’t logged it until now because it’s a sipdown! woohoo! I’m not sure what possessed my parents to keep the puerh and give me the green tea, but i’ve happily enjoyed this one and shared it, so no complaints here from me. I don’t mind green teas, but 1-2 max in my cupboard is enough to keep them from losing their ZING!
sipdown! I am on a roll today. haha I’m hoping i can carry through over the weekend as well since the sooner i get to 150, the sooner i can justify buying a couple of teas to last me until black friday grin I quite like this tea, though it doesn’t need to be a staple. The occasional purchase would absolutely satisfy me. Delicious almond flavours!
mmmm thanks dinosara! this is a nice puer. I’m enjoying the strength of it! there’s no fishiness or even mushroomy taste. I’ve been drinking this in the afternoon while i work on things. tasty!
I received this in a swap from Dexter and haven’t been sure what to make of it. I brewed this up and i’ve been trying it this morning. It’s lighter than i’d prefer and there are some notes there that seem rather interesting. Overall, i think i’d need to play with this a little more to see what i can make of this. A rather interesting tea!
