15737 Tasting Notes
Day 3! in my advent calendar from nicole I like having a surprise to look forward to every day. This one is her blend i suspect…. “Chocolate Golden Yunnan Black” prooobably it’s closest or IS Tricera-Tips Yunnan. but omg.i love the crap out of this one. like 88 or something like that today. deep, rich, malty, delicious goodness. even the last of the cup that got cold was so yummy. thanks nicole!!
Forgot to write about this one yesterday! This is Day 2 in my advent calendar week from Nicole it was actually just what i wanted yesterday after work, though admittedly it’s not one i need around all the time – there are deeper, richer teas of a similar vein that i’d pick up first…but it was a good cup!
Tea friends are the best friends…I received a care package from Nicole for christmas and she thoughtfully created a little week long tea advent calendar. I saved it to start Jan 1 and this turned out to be a damn near perfect thing. We spent the morning yesterday riding bikes with the puppy in the cold. When we got back, i opened up day 1 to find this tea. I have to say it was the perfect pick me up after riding. Warm, hint of cinnamon in the background, but not as in most “cinnamon teas.” I haven’t had many teas from shang tea, but it’s teas like this that make me want to try more. I had more than a few cups of this eeking out all the flavour and deliciousness that i could.
thank you nicole! I’m going to have fun with these over the next week!
sample from VariaTEA.. this one was a decent sort of tea. It was a little on the spicy side so not sure if it’s because i brewed it normally compared to VariaTEA or that i was a wimp on the weekend but it was fairly tasty. Got the sense of pumpkin out of this as well as cocoa…and clearly chili. my only complaint was that there was an oily thing going on with the brew.
It is my blend, yes. :) I like it cold or hot as well. :P
