It tastes exactly like it smells: amazingly-fruity-flowery-deliciousness.

I love this tea in the evenings because I find it relaxes me and has the right amount of sweetness to give me that perfect end to my day. The flavour of the honeybush mixes well with the papaya and the aroma of the tea is very inviting, something to curl up with for sure.

This is the only tea I have from Teaopia, as I don’t really like Teaopia, but this was one I HAD to go back and buy more of because I liked it that much.

I just received this tea today and i have been craving it for quite some time. I must say it’s quite nice to see those silver needles scattered among the black tea leaves. As you open the tin, the smoky aroma hits you and if you pay a little attention you’ll immediately feel a citrus-spice vibe going on. Like some lemons with cinnamon and a bit of cloves. I love that this aroma keeps up as the leaves are steeped unlike most blends that have nothing to do with the aromas before steeping. It’s not too smoky nor is it too tangy. Just a perfect combination with earthy and woody undertones and a subtle spicy kick to it as you drink it. If you can still find it, as i did…i truly recommend getting it because it’s an awesome blend.

This is a store brand tea. I wasn’t expecting greatness, and I didn’t get it. Twinings has a much stronger bergamot flavor (probably because it actually has bergamot in it rather than just a flavor), but it’s definitely a drinkable knock off. I generally like the Taste of Inspirations store brand, so I wanted to give it a try. I’d buy it again in a pinch, but my next office desk box of Earl Grey will be Twinings or better.

Honestly my most favorite tea there is. If you are into sweet teas then this is the tea for you. Although it’s labeled cotton candy tea it isn’t overpoweringly sugary as some might think it is. The loose leaf itself is quite a sight and all together visually and tastefully appealing.

This is a nice sweet and fun tea. I drank it as “dessert” this evening, and that is kind of what it’s perfect for.

I usually try to avoid bagged tea, but this one intrigued me so I figured I’d give it a try. One bag per 6 ounces of water is recommended, but since I was using a larger mug (around 9-10 ounces of water) I threw two bags in for more flavor. I think one and a half bags would have been sufficient, but two bags was nice and robust.

There was not too much of a medicinal flavor that can sometimes happen with rooibos. Not to mention that, plus the beet bits, gave the tea a lovely deep red color. The added flavoring gave sweetness without tasting too artificial, which is always a gamble. While I drank it plain, adding a touch of milk or cream and sugar would make it pretty decadent.

This is a strip oolong. Has quite large leaves and not a terribly large amount of bruising (oxidation), so an overall slightly less-oxidized oolong. I am using around 4g in 110mL, at 180-185F

The wet aroma is fantastic and very strong and thick! Lots of ‘dark fruit’ notes, like berries, with a great degree of floral and magnolia aroma accompanying it.

The taste itself is quite the treat. It is smooth, but quite thick and juicy as well — definitely not a light oolong. It has a very creamy, buttery texture and flavour throughout. Very floral, with osmanthus and honeysuckle being the main contributors.

There is a very slight astringency, but it’s only mainly noticed as part of the aftertaste, or if you were to overbrew it.

On the fourth steep, the leaves have mostly fully opened up.

At this point, the tea has been consistant with its profile. Very creamy and very floral, thick but juicy as well. Very minor astringency — mainly detected as part of the aftertaste. A nice thing about this tea is that the more you let it cool down (after the steep and removing the leaves, just letting it cool in a cup), the floral notes slightly fade but it becomes far more creamy and buttery.

on the fifth steep, creamyness has started to fade but the floral notes remain the same.

sixth steep, the cream is on it’s last legs but the osmanthus remains persistant.

seventh steep. I would consider this tea to be ‘exhausted’ by now. Cream is gone, floral is way too subtle, and you mainly taste the husk of the leaf. I’ll consider my session to be complete by now.

As for a summary, the first half of the steeping session gives you a very thick, juicy, creamy (butter and cream), and floral flavour. The creamyness and floral both fade, but the cream is the first to go. There is very little astringency, and even after all seven steeps my throat doesn’t feel dry at all, only the surface of my tongue feels a bit dried. A very pleasant and thick oolong, an absolute treat to have.

This is the first tea I have had that is made from honey bush, the smell of this tea is amazing and smells of vanilla. The taste isn’t as strong as the smell which I wish it was and isn’t overly sweet.

A highly enjoyable tea. If you are having an off day or someone online says something to make you mad (#firstworldproblems lol) this tea will really calm you down. It has a nice nutty flavor along with the roasted notes from the roasting process. I’m impressed with the stems in the tea bags. They are in great shape and look like they were precisely picked.

A very soothing bedtime tea. The flavors were nicely balanced – the mellow taste of chamomile, sweet peppermint, and a bit of zest from the lavender.

I think I get why the other reviewer was talking about cigarettes… I only steeped for 3 minutes but definitely noticed a strong smokey flavor — in an unpleasant way. It really overpowered the lemongrass and green tea for me. I was disappointed by this tea, especially after hearing all the hype. Hopefully their BB Detox tastes better!

Resteeping resulted in a much better tea, but I don’t think I’ll buy this one.
