An Ode to Tea challenge #2– W Redux

Here’s a ‘W’ to sipdown.  I enjoyed this one!  I’m sure I have said though, I would pick dark chocolate over white chocolate anyday.  But this is at least something different.  I enjoyed it.  Creamy spearmint on that somehow still unique to 52Teas honeybush base.  And vanilla. Don’t forget the vanilla I miss 52Teas updates!  I don’t seem to see much on Steepster or get e-mails very often?

I miss the consistent updates too!

52Teas

I haven’t been doing the updates in the discussions forum any longer because I was unsure how welcome they would be now that a tea company actually owns the website.

As for the emailed newsletter – I have been severely behind on it and I apologize. I am hoping I can get a newsletter out within the next day or two and it will be a huge update so I’m not sure if I should do the email in several parts (several smaller emails) or one large one.

I’ve missed the updates too! But been rather preoccupied with life for the last while.

IMO unless there’s a new rule about companies not posting updates in the forum… I’d continue to do so. I’m not active enough anymore to have noticed if anything had really changed at this point, including forum rules.

52Teas

Thanks! I will start updating again then. I was just a little worried about how they might be received – I didn’t want to attempt to step on toes or unnecessary conflict.

Yeah, I think you should keep posting them in the forums, unless admin says something about it. They have been good about things so far.

My icon photo is Richard Mayhew from the graphic novel ‘Neverwhere’ by Neil Gaiman, Mike Carey & Glenn Fabry.

Most of the teas listed in my cupboard are actually sample sizes. I don’t really have 2,000 ounces of tea around here! Many of my teas have only one teaspoon left… maybe two. But I like keeping them in my cupboard list for reference to what I could be sipping. Usually, I write tasting notes once for each tea. I’m still drinking them, just not writing tasting notes each time!

I’m always in search of: Hattialli, Qu Hao black, Jin Jun Mei, teas using marshmallow root.

My dislikes: hibiscus, ginger (unless in chai), turmeric, bee pollen, charcoal type flavors

My ratings:
95-100 – Super awesome deliciousness favorites – cupboard essential
80-95 – Also pretty delicious
65-80 – Pretty good
50-65 – Okay
1-50 – Probably won’t want to sip it again

I’m planning on being a Steepsterer as long as there IS a Steepster, so if you’re not hearing from me, that means something happened to my health… if you know what I mean. (Or as evidenced by the great computer hiatus of 2019, something happened to my computer… I have a dumb phone so can’t access internet on that. As of 12/20/21 my wifi might start getting unreliable.)

Happy sipping!
