Herbal and Decaf TTB 2025

I have never had a goji berry so I can’t say anything about the accuracy of that flavor. I can taste lime and hibiscus tempered by sweetness that is at a perfect level for my tastes. I do taste an unfamiliar fruit flavor with a hint of earthiness that I think is the goji berry.

Herbal and Decaf Traveling Tea Box, Summer 2025.
Goji Lime. Basilur.

Paper tea bag with a string-tag produced a deep red-brown infusion. Pleasant goji and lime aroma, with notes of hibiscus and orange. The flavor of this tisane did have a modest tartness, with a forward goji and orange, and added complexity of lime, in a background of tame hibiscus with notes of rose hip and something sweet— possibly the stevia leaf? I have never had goji fruit before, but there is something sweetly fruity in this tisane that I really like! When sweetened with sugar the taste transformed into a slightly tart fruit salad with notes of juicy fruit chewing gum! Gosh, it’s really tasty and difficult not to swill quickly! The aroma was long-lasting, as was the finish, wherein the lime notes re-emerged. Basilur did a great blending job here, and I can recommend and give a rating of 91.

A sipdown! (M: 2 Y: 67)
A perfect refreshing cuppa, even when I drank it hot. As gmathis wrote, it is very hibiscus forward, but lime tastes natural and is very refreshing.

I think it could be a blast iced; but this was a last tea bag, drank on rainy afternoon.

In Missouri, we are very close to “I don’t care how it tastes as long as it is wet and cold!” season. It was so hot Wednesday (we were on the road and had been doing heavy labor at my mom-in-law’s), I voluntarily drank bottled sweet tea.

This is very, very, very hibiscus-y. In most circumstances, that would lower my rating to the floor. However, I can stand a little hibby when it’s cold-steeped in the fridge, which I did today (100 F — I don’t care what I’m drinking as long as it’s cold). With some real lime wedges, it reminds me a little of Swee-Tarts on ice. (Thanks, Martin! These fruit infusions have been great for summer.)

Glad they fit! I see I haven’t wrote a note for this one, but I believe I have at least a bag left, definitely have to drink & try.
