From Yunnan Sourcing

Picked during the last harvest of the year this Wu Liang mountain tippy black tea is mostly (but not entirely) hairy gold buds! Grown in a high altitude tea garden (1800 meters) in the Wu Liang mountains this pesticide-free tea is pure in composition, taste and aroma.

This tea brews up a lovely sweet tea soup with a floral and honey aroma. The taste is sweet and thick. It’s hard to over-brew, and won’t go sour, astringent or bitter easily. Can be infused 6 to 8 times!

October 2013 harvest

(239) This was my first cup of the day, and I had it courtesy of Sil! Thanks!

It was delicious, even though I ended up steeping it for 8 minutes while I had a diaper disaster to deal with. It was dark and malty and sweet. I would definitely like to try this again some time!

TheTeaFairy

Diaper disaster says it all, lol.

I warmed up my 4oz teapot & dropped 5G of this tea into it, just to let the leaf warm up, & I was rewarded with the aroma of milk chocolate & honey!
Then I steeped it for 15/30/45/60 seconds, etc & every cup was delicious, starting with cream & honey, then malto-meal & honey. Thanks to Tea Explorer for sharing this one with me!

I’m glad you enjoyed this. It was one of my favorite “finds” from YS after ordering a bunch of Yunnan and Fujian blacks from them.

Terri HarpLady

I love getting teas from YS, especially their Fujian blacks.
