Today i went to DT to pick up some essentials and I thought I would try something new to go. I got this with a bit of skim and agave. Living as close as I do I left the bag in until I got home.
I took a sip just as I walked in the door to discover the bag of floor my dog tore apart… which cutely left dough on his face. But it was a bad experience overall. It tasted like a cup of hot grass with sugar. This definitely wont find it’s way into my cupboard.

I’m drinking the teas in my cupboard that have been neglected. This on is one that my whole family likes and you can always smell it when someone makes it. It is very fruity without being overly sweet. The blueberry is definitely prominent over the black tea though.

This one scared me. When I bought it I thougt “Chamomile is great!” Then when I opened the box it was very reminiscent of licorice twist by DT, with which I had a run in with earlier. . . But once brewed it wasn’t half bad, very chamomile. And it definitely made me want to go to bed!
I find you have to extend the steep time with Tazo full leaf though.

WHOA! First sip made me feel like I got punched in the mouth with licorice. It was SUPER sweet and slowly took over my whole mouth. By the end of the cup my throat felt weird and so did my stomach. My husband loves it though.

YUM! Minor parenting crisis distracted me while I was steeping this one. I could hear my timer wailing but couldn’t get to it for 2 extra minutes! Made the best cup of this tea I have ever had. The sweet cherry came out more than the rose flavour. Very well enjoyed… and the crisis was managed!

Oh father of all things holy, this is AMAZING!!!! I could seriously spend the rest of my life alone with a hot cup of this tea and I would be content.
It’s so smooth and flavourful, but not bold and not light. It is a perfect cup. I need some time alone with it now.

I LOVE floral tea! This is no exception, it’s delightful. I bought a thermometer thingy from DT today but it’s not as user friendly as I had hoped. Needless to say I can only assume that I steeped this at the correct temp.
In any case this is a great tea. The rose is quite strong in the flavour, it’s a smooth tea. Happy to have it in my cupboard.

I also purchased this in an attempt to try something new. I’ve never purchased oolong before. I have tried this before, and I really like it.
However I am certain I understeeped this one. The flavour was light and flat, not like the cup I had in store. The only real flavour that came through was ginger and even that was weak. I’m sure it was my fault though.

This is my second cup of this today. I decided to spread my wings and purchase my first white tea. I had previously tried this one iced, but I prefer it hot.
Word to the wise, be VERY careful with time and temp. If you’re not careful it can be quite bitter. Otherwise it’s a very nice fruity tea with too much going on.

There are few things in life that I enjoy more than a good cup of tea and the company of my dogs.
I’m a down to earth person very true to my Virgo roots. I own two Boxers, Octane (male, 6 years) and Rally Rims (female, 3 years). I do not breed or show, they are an integral part of my family. I also have a loving husband in the Canadian Military and a beautiful daughter who amazes me with her wit and intelligence everyday.
I love Autumn, for it’s colour, smell and general ambiance.
I’m just a girl, looking for a good cup of tea.
