Each time I come here to write a tasting note, something pulls me away. Home is busy, work is busy, school is busy! This is my third attempt to write a tasting note today :)
Thankfully there are teas like this one to get me through crazy busy times. I don’t know what they put in this tea, but it makes me so cheerful! It’s perfectly bergamot-y and perfectly good-tea-ish. I love that it’s bold enough to drink in the morning, but fine enough to not need a grain of sugar. I have relied on it several times in the past week.
Love!

He goes to the Dr. to discuss his MRI tomorrow. Fingers crossed. He’s also had elevated sugar levels and I has to stop baking so much! He had another blood test too so we’ll find out all the story. How is your husband’s back?
Started physical therapy last week! Still hurting an awful lot but back at work. MRI in four weeks if it doesn’t improve. Doesn’t pain and illness raise blood sugar? Maybe it will go down once he starts feeling better! Thinking of you both!
I have truly missed you, Fairy Tea-Sister!!! I’ve really been thinking of buying the Fortnum set of teas from W-S, and having your seal of approval seals the deal for me.
So sorry to hear about your (and ashmanra’s) hubbies — all of you’ll be in my thoughts.
Every time you review this, I check the Fortnum website. Did you know they have a Diamond Jubilee Orange Marmalade with edible gold leaf in it? I may have to order just to get some tea and the Diamond Jubilee strawberry preserves!
SimplyJenW – That sounds WAY too good. I challenged myself to not buy anything on the internet except for tea and books. Do I break my challenge if I buy marmalade WITH my tea? :)
ashmanra – Dr. said he has some bulging discs and has to go to the orthopedic specialist. His sugar etc is all good but he still has elevated liver enzymes! We have to work on them next. Poor thing.
I hope your husband feels better and does not need an MRI!!!!
Yes, I think you can buy the marmalade, too! After all, how many English sovereigns make it to their Diamond Jubilee? Did you know that 250g of Earl Grey Classic works out to be $12 US? It kind of makes up for the shipping if you are buying enough. Throw in a tin of the biscuits that plays “God Save the Queen”, too!
ashmanra and JacquelineM…I hope both of your hubbies are on the mend very soon. Hugs and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Jen, I like the way you think! The hampers are so charming too – some have tea, and jelly, and other wonderful English goodies. So nice!
How is hubby?

Hang in there! Hope a holiday weekend does much to rest and restore both of you!
