Huh. This was a surprise.

I don’t like coffee. I drink tea for a reason. I grew up with both of my parents drinking drip coffee and espresso. It never held any appeal to me. However, this tea came with my chai sampler, and I was determined to get through even that little 25g sample.

Yeah. New morning favourite. I don’t like this tea straight, so I add milk and two teaspoons of sugar. It’s a really clever tea in terms of taste. The stevia counteracts the bitterness of the coffee beans. This tea has a strong cardamom bite to it – if you don’t like cardamom or “spicy” teas, it’s best to avoid this one.

Despite my dislike of coffee, this will be a repurchase.

How the story goes is that one day, a feeble, weakened graduate student decided to stop ingesting so much caffeine and additives (sugar, cream, milk) and instead headed for the land of tea.

I should probably mention that I’ve been drinking tea… pretty much since I can remember. The beauty of growing up in a still-semi-Euro family! I was introduced to green teas and pu’erhs by herbalists and acupuncturists in my teens.
