81 Tasting Notes
I love this! Drink it Monday – Friday at work.
Mixes well with boring or bland black teas.
The donkey on the package is really cute.
No sugar, honey or milk needed, but can be added.
Great for the afternoon pick me up.
Can get it locally in Ossining or Port Chester NY.
8/13/12 – I started adding Maca Powder to Yerba.
Yerba Mate + Guayusa + Maca Powder + Panela = Macho Superdrink?
12/24/13 – I have two bags of this at home, that will take months for me to drink.
Thank you Nicole Martin for this sample.
I love Mate.
I’m not into Rooibos. The smell turns me off when its hot.
This tea had coconut fruit in it.
The tea was packaged in a nice pouch, looked and smelled good.
I brewed it hot, but couldn’t stand the smell of it, so drinking it over ice.
The Rooibos and coconut were overpowering with a caffeine buzz.
I am going to drink half and spill the rest out.
Sadly, this sample is going into my desk drawer and will be traded via mail or meetup.
After drinking the tea, I checked out the website http://www.tiestatea.com
Tastes like lemons.
I drank it at 8am.
I felt like I was drinking a Corona beer with a plate of lemons.
I don’t drink beers at 8am, and this tea gave me a few butterflies in my stomach.
I was hoping to enjoy this tea – Since Twinnings Mint tea is awesome.
I’ll brew some cold to see if it improves.
8/16/12 I drank this again, added a pinch of sugar and milk and pow! It tasted great for breakfast! I’m upping the rating for this one.
Thank you Bonnie for this tea.
I will keep it short.
I made the sample of this tea by boiling water and putting the teapot in the fridge to cool overnight.
I drank it cold, no sugar, milk, one hour before bedtime.
I realize that I don’t like chamomile. It gets me drowsy, sleepy, and dopey.
I did see some marigold petals and the tea expanded overnight to some soggy dense pile.
I’m falling asleep watching the Olympics and writing this review.
ZZZZ.ZZZZ.Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Goodnight.
I don’t think I’ll want to try this one again. I will however check out more Verdant Teas because they are so highly reviewed here.
I like chamomile for the sleepy effect it has on me. I wasn’t sure about this one so left it off my very first Verdant Tea order :D I got the new phoenix chai, laoshan chai and laoshan black :D Can’t wait to try those :D
Thanks to Bonnie for this sample
Well, I see that the Pancake Breakfast Black Tea has already been well reviewed.
When I got the sample, It smelled great! I would go and sniff it because it smelled so good.
This morning I was ready to give the sample Bonnie provided to me a try.
I brewed a small pot of water.
I passed on drinking it straight up and put 1 Sugar in the Raw, 1 packet of Honey and a pinch of milk into my cup.
It tasted like a doughnut from Dunkin’ Donuts or Honey Nut Cheerios.
Overweight people, drink this, and not pancakes or Donuts.
You will be a skinny bitch quicker.
8/6 – I’m making a pot of this cold and enjoying it.
Thank You Bonnie for this sample
This is my third Lapsang Souchong I have tried (previous were bagged from Choice Teas and Twinnings)
I made a small pot from the sample Bonnie sent.
It’s the weekend – and weekends are for loose teas.
I boiled some water, and put the sample in the pot.
The pot makes about 2-3 cups of tea.
I didn’t hesitate to add a splash of milk and two sugar packets, from previous Lapsang Souchong experience.
For breakfast, I’m eating a smoked sausage to complement this tea.
I enjoy Lapsang Souchong’s in the morning, as a first tea.
This tea was strong, had flavor, and was smooth.
I’m going for Lap Band Lapsang surgery to fix my slouching problem I have today. :)

Thank you Bonnie for this Sample
I woke up early.
I needed a good kickstart to the weekend.
I needed caffeine.
I have tried Guayusa previously and enjoy the buzz.
I got laundry done.
I cleaned up my rooms (I was sick this week, so the place was a mess)
I did a pile of paperwork!
I spent time with my son.
I had a crash, and took a light nap.
Guayusa is great. It reminds me of Adderall for ADHD.
Will keep you focused.
Great name, Good Morning Sunshine.
Must get some more.
I used a tea baggie and added water.
No milk, cream, sugar, honey needed.
Thanks again, Bonnie
Thank you Bonnie for this sample!
The tea sample in the baggie smelled good.
This is a watery roasted tea.
The tea tasted and looked like like a watered down coca-cola.
I was very light.
I tried it plain, no milk or sugar.
I drank it before bed.
I made a small pot and used the entire sample.

Overall: Light tea, tastes like roasted “water”, good for sleep
watery, kind of a dud.
Pros: I would like to check out the Happy Luck’s Tea house if I ever go to Colorado.
Coworker gave me a few bags of this tea. It has a green paper wrapper. The wrapper says it is a refreshing Sencha tea with a natural “Green” aroma and color.
I like it, as green teas taste great in the afternoon.
If the smell of surburbian green grass is your thing, this is your tea.
I really wanted to enjoy this tea. I like Yerba Mate and this seemed to combine Black tea with Mate. However, i was a bit disappointed. The Yerba Mate or Black Tea wasn’t strong. I’ll try another cup and see what went wrong. Also, I’m not really a Celestial Seasonings fan. I like my teabags with staples, individually wrapped and hermetically sealed in foil because I brew my tea’s on the road and like playing with the tea strings until they break. I brought it to work but I think its going to be shoved in a desk drawer for awhile until I can unload it at the steepster meetup on 8/8/12. The bison and box artwork are catchy.
7/2 – I put two bags into my cup of hot water. I am awake, and the tea has a slight smokey flavor.
To add more flavor, I added loose mate to it.
7/31 – I finished the box!! Overall, there is caffeine in the tea, and as mentioned before, I mixed Yerba Mate and sometimes sugar to it. I drank it hot and cold at work as the first cup of the day and sometimes as an afternoon tea.
This does mix really well I agree and you can’t taste it hardly at all if you mix it with black tea. Kinda amazing.
