Goji Berry Pomegranate Green Tea

Fruit Green Blend by Celestial Seasonings

“Juicy pomegranates and the unique, slightly tangy taste of nutritious Himalayan goji berries are a lively addition to our smooth blend of authentic green tea and delicate Bai Mu Dan white tea – one of the rarest and youngest of teas – in this refreshing brew.”
— Charlie Baden, Celestial Seasonings Blendmaster Since 1975

Meh. I really wanted to like this, but just can’t. The green tea by itself would be nice, and the berry flavor is nice, and would be nice by itself, but together they just don’t do it for me. If you like the flavored teas with more delicate flavors, you may like this, but it’s not really for me.

This tea is quite tasty, though all of the flavors are very “light”. I think that’s a good thing, though, because, with a lot of the flavored green teas, the added flavors tend to overwhelm the green tea. Not so in this case.

I’d definitely try this again.

(I received this tea in a tea swap on Livejournal.)

This is indeed very smooth and light tasting.
I generally add raw honey and truvia to sweeten.
This is delicious and I love fruity flavored green teas. :)

This is a nice, light tasting tea, very enjoyable. I liked the Goji berry and pomegranate together against the green tea; all three were very well balanced.
I’ll definitely buy this one again. I’ll have to try this over ice in the summer.

There’s a bit more fruit flavor to this tea than Raspberry Gardens, which I enjoy and appreciate. A bit of a bitter aftertaste, though.

I recently (re)discovered Celestial Seasonings. My mother drank it for years, but I always thought of Celestial for “Sleepy Time.” Well, I decided to give them another try. Lately, I’ve been really into drinking a cup of green tea at night after dinner, so I opted for a flavored Green Tea. Lo and behold, I am very pleased. The fruitiness in this tea is slightly on the tart side, but not in an unpleasant way. This blend also includes some white tea (“for smoothness”) and I think it works to counteract any bitter after taste. All in all, I am satisfied with this tea, but it doesn’t top the myriad green tea/citrus combinations.
