We opted to add another Ceylon to our tea selection; one can never have enough good black tea in the house. We chose this tea because its flavor profile is quite different from our House Ceylon; however, it’s equally as delicious. This tea has a rich amber color, aromas of cocoa, and malt. It is medium bodied, smooth, and enhanced with bold and brisk flavors. Love the finish on this tea, too.

Honestly…when I randomly choose this one from my “NEW” Pile I thought…“sigh…another ceylon…” BUT honestly…this is probably one of my favorite Ceylons to date! It’s pretty bold but smooth and slippery. It’s semi-malty but incredibly tasty…and I would agree it’s DIFFERENT than any other Ceylon I have tasted in the past.

A very mild-mannered Ceylon. I can taste the notes of cocoa which is not something I often taste with an average, everyday Ceylon. Very smooth and I’m even getting a pleasant malty note (another something I don’t usually get from an average Ceylon)
Not as fruity as some Ceylons, but I do get a slightly fruity quality at the finish. Sweet and mellow. Nice.
Just got this one in and I must say it is growing on me. I do believe that this is a tea that benefits from adding stevia and milk. I purchased this with the hope that it would make a good breakfast tea and it does! Bold and brisk, this is a “wake up” tea.
So hoorah for me and kudos to Dan~tea drinker from Drink The Leaf for a Ceylon well done! Oh, and let me mention this, I ordered these teas on Monday and got them on Wednesday! I got 6 ounces of tea(3 different kinds) for $17 plus shipping $22 total!
Usually, I can take or leave Ceylon as I tend to find it uninteresting and weaker than I prefer my black tea. However, this Ceylon is an exception. There is a definite cocoa note that truly reminds me of a less earthy Dawn. This may become one of my favorites.
