When I purchased my Rishi iced tea pitcher I wanted to also pick up a specific tea made for icing. After checking out a few other Steepsterite reviews of Rishi’s iced teas I came to a halt at this one. Oh Cha! started her review of this tea with “FRUIT LOOPS!” That’s all it took to get me to purchase this. And I’m glad that I did.

I opted to do the hot brew method (which is all I ever did at the cafes I had worked at) and when I pulled out the spent tea bag I smelled it: FRUIT LOOPS! Oh Cha! really nailed it in her review: Fruit Loops, a scary thought, but a good thing in reality. There’s a bit more lemongrassy tang to this, so next time I plan on seeing what cold brewing will do for that aspect. I can also really pick out the jasmine, but only if I tell my mind to think of this as tea and not Fruit Loops.

I can’t imagine having this every day, but I can see craving it. Especially in the summer. NE

So, I sorta forgot that this tea was sitting in my fridge. I think it’s been there about a week. I know in Barista Landâ„¢ we would’ve tossed it about 12 hours after it was made, but that’s hot brewed. In Rabs Landâ„¢ we go ahead and try it — danger be damned! It actually is really yummy and has mellowed the flavors quite a bit. Now, if I suddenly stop posting y’all will know that this tea did me in and not to repeat my folly. NE

Tried this one cold brewed. It’s a lot more mellow and not really “Fruit Loops” when made this way. I think that either way is fine, but for the Fruit Loops it needs to be hot brewed. Still yummers!

FRUIT LOOPS!

:) It sounds scary… but it’s actually a good thing! You have to try it to understand. I’d frown on it in a hot tea I fear, but I find it to be quite awesome in an iced tea! I have this in my fridge quite often, I love it!

Zingerman’s deli had this iced and I drank it with my brunch (applewood smoked bacon, farm fresh eggs and toast). It was unsweetened and had a lovely lemony lightness to it which balanced nicely with the mild green tea base. Wonderful and refreshing. Perfect without sweetener.

This tea is amazing! The citrus taste is a little on the strong side but not overpowering. I was afraid to use boiling water because of the green tea but the herbs and rooibos need the boiling and I can safely say that I did not taste any bitterness from the green tea. The green tea and green rooibos provide a nice taste base for the tea and complement the lemongrass and lemon myrtle very well. It’s very refreshing on a hot day. Highly recommend.

I don’t know about this one yet. It’s sort of a honey/lemoney aftertaste. I like it.
