Darjeeling FTGFOP1 FF 2009 Rohini Estate

Black Tea by TeaFountain

Rare 2009 First Flush (first harvest period / February through June) Crop: New and rare 2009 Rohini Estate Edition: Fantastic exotic olive note. Soft and spectacular Green Tea-like and hint-of-olive treat for the palate. This First Flush Leaf Tea was harvested and withered, slightly fermented and flown to us.
Limited quantities. Precious Silver Tips. Like this rare find for ‘Connoisseurs’, we still offer the best qualities of much sought after ‘Champagne’ spring crops. Serve also as High Tea and dinner beverage with light foods.

This wonderful Darjeeling brews up a very light pale green-yellow, and the leaves have enough downy hair covering them to leave some gently floating on the waters meniscus. The smell is rich and slightly malty, with a similar flavor. Vegetal and slight fruity notes round out this fine liquor.

Edit: Came back to bump up the rating. This tea is great, and changes flavor as it cools. So many shades of fruityness, flowers, berries, and fresh crisp vegitation. Second brew is almost as good as the first.
