From The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

In sight of the tallest mountains in the world lie the historic tea growing estates of Darjeeling, India. At 6,000 feet above sea level, Darjeeling teas are subject to one of the shortest growing seasons in agriculture. The unique combination of high altitude and limited growing season create a tea that is intensely flavored.

My first experience in the Darjeeling family… very intriguing. By far one of the boldest blacks I’ve tasted; I really enjoyed the full body taste this tea offered while being totally complimented by what I guess would be described as the pleasant aroma of a Darjeeling. Would love to try more from this family of tea.

Hehe, if you want to really get into this tea type you have no idea what you’re in for. There are three main flushes of Darjeeling tea, each with their own distinctive characters. Plus the flavour can also vary surprisingly widely from estate to estate. People can get really crazy over this tea type – not to scare you off or anything! ;D

A great Darjeeling for for those who wish to try it. You do not have to worry if it is first or second flush. I would not suggest steeping too long… It gets too bold quickly.

Brilliant; the first time I knowingly drank a darjeeling, and I must say I was a huge fan.. Would love to try different ones!
