15713 Tasting Notes
sipdown! but it will be back…soon :) i had this in the morning as my wake up tea with my everything bagel with herb and garlic cream cheese. Perfect start to the morning! I love this tea. Today i drank one cup normally – this is smokey with a bit of brightness to it, some hints of cedar… soo good. Added a splash of maple syrup to a second cup and it was even more delicious. I do love my smokey teas with a splash of maple! thanks again for sharing this one lala! happy to return the favour anytime!
Final tea of the evening – while settling in to watch some walking dead in honour of Halloween. I’d forgotten how much I enjoy this tea so it was a nice tea to revisit. I like that it’s clearly a rooibos but super uber fruity and not that woodsy sort of rooibos. We’ve got friends coming over for games tomorrow night, so that should be a lot of fun.
Final count: 80…made my goal after all, even though I didn’t get to drink tea most of september! Woot woot! Though I still have a few teas from April, so I still haven’t made it to my “6 month goal”

ya we watch it on blu ray so we’re a season behind and that’s how i like it… i can watch 4 episodes in a row then take a break lol
We do that too, but we’ve been tempted to buy the season pass on Xbox and watch the new season, cuz it’s such a great show!
oooooh man. today this was sublime. maybe it was the two minute steep or the rainy day..but this was exactly what i wanted it to be today and more. love garrett;s teas! wish i could partake in the sale ending today :(
It was also really tempting for me to partake in the Mandala sale! I had to remind myself that I had plenty of tea to enjoy and explore, some of which I’ve never even tried.
hehe i’m finally getting my cupboard under control so i’m trying to make small orders infrequently heh.
I got a lot of pu samples. By the time I try them they already sold out.
haha that’s part of why i want to get my pu samples under control…so that when i get more in, i try and and buy a cake right away hahaha i DID buy the one apricot cake you guys were happy with…
this one worked a little better today. I actually preferred it as it cooled, so maybe i’ll try this as a cold brew. I’m still not quite getting buttermilk but as i do like the base, i can see finishing this off. Not a reorder for me, and i’m glad to be getting the chance to share with a few folks :)
hmmmmmmm..although this one has been in it’s tin, today it feels like the flavouring is a little weaker than it used to be. Maybe i didn’t get enough melon flowers in this cup lol. I’m almost out, but it was nice to revisit this one today on a gloomy, rainy afternoon!
noms. at this rate i’ll be through all my WP teas in record time! I think i’ve been starved for new straight teas so these have been a welcome addition to my rotation. Not much to keep on saying about this one beyond the fact that it’s a great little tea full of delicious cocoa notes and a slight sweetness that makes me smile :)
mmmmmm boychik sent this one my way and ive been saving it for a day when i could drink it all day long! :) Rather than take a long series of notes on this, i wanted to just sit and enjoy it. Overall impressions – this is a fantastic puerh! I highly recommend it to anyone wanting a great journey.
this was a bold, strong tea to begin with and lasted for maaaaaaany maaaany steeps. Initial steeps were sort of earthy but also sweet and smooth. i picked up leathery notes and what i guess i would call sort of citrusy? i think i’m going to have to track this one down and pick up a cake. thank you so much boychik. I’ve really loved some of these fantastic offerings you sent my way!

i pulled this one out this afternoon as i wanted a bit of a break from some of the caffeine. I have a bunch of this but now that it’s moving in to fall, i tend to forget about my fruity teas. i really enjoy this one and i’m glad i picked up more of it. i always want to eat the giant cherries, though i haven’t yet succumbed heh
oktoberfest + cacao + vanilla powder = delicious random steeping. Terri put the idea in my head a while back and i haven’t had a smokey tea until now to try it out with. soooo yummy!

Thanks, but don’t worry about it! I don’t like smoky teas. I’m going to wait until they (hopefully?) have free/better shipping for Black Friday so I can get others. Is the Red Tailed Hawk at all smoky, in your opinion?
