Snowberry Frost

If you live near a Smallcakes Cupcakerie, consider yourselves fortunate. We miss ours! Little boutique cupcake and ice cream place that changed its flavor lineup weekly. They had a moist, melt-in-your mouth strawberry cupcake that I could gnarf in about three giant bites, I liked it so much. Snowberry Frost is its liquid stepchild. Berries and buttercream, compliments of the lovely ashmanra. Thank you—I needed the smile!

Sipdown

This was one of my gifts from my daughter who lives with us and I thought I had reviewed it before, but no note here.

We really enjoyed this new blend from S&V. The base is nice, not too strong but not anemic which is something that really irks me with flavored teas sometimes. I still want to taste tea even with flavors!

There is a vanilla icing vibe to this, with light berry flavor – no terribly prominent but it is there.

The rest of this is winging its way to gmathis to experience the glommy icing vibe! (As per another note and comment!)

Not a fan. Really buttery, with a very mild generic berry flavor.

Simpson & Vail Advent Calendar: Day 24

I actually ordered 4 oz. of this tea when I purchased the S&V advent, so I’d tried it before it showed up in the calendar. I really enjoyed it! There’s something very satisfying and cozy about it, like a big messy chocolate cupcake with gobs of buttercream frosting and berry swirls. I could do with a bit more tang from the cranberry, but overall it’s a fun one!

Advent Calendar 2024 – Day 24

I found it a bit silly that they saved this tea for last (vs. Holiday Blend for example) but it is new this year, so I can see why they did it. I actually really enjoyed it! The cream element reminded me of buttercream frosting, but it wasn’t as cloying as that sounds. Cranberry was definitely a bit nondescript but still read as a red berry, with a slight tang. There was a hint of cocoa as well, which surprised me as I often find cocoa nibs difficult to detect. I actually have a small bag of this from the December subscription, and looking forward to sipping it again!

2024 Holiday tea #2
MMM… had to pick up this new holiday tea from S&V.  I was hoping it would fill in a bit of my tea collection for Marketspice’s Cranberry Creme (though I suppose I could have just bought that one).  And it kind of DOES taste a bit like that.  It’s definitely got a sweet fruit flavor and a bit of a cream flavor.  I wouldn’t say it’s as tart as cranberry should be…  Maybe just a very tiny hint of cocoa. The second steep wants to prove me wrong, and the cocoa takes over while any cream and cranberry takes a backseat. I think it would have been even more interesting if the base black tea was more unique. And just wish there was a bit more obvious cranberry flavor.  This is certainly a welcome addition to my holiday teas.  OH and I went with the idea here from a couple days ago and went ahead and put my holiday teas that I have around me into an empty tree shaped tin I just happened to have lying around.  This is making these teas feel extra festive right now. :D

Kelmishka Homemade Advent Day 5! The name of this tea sounded like it would be best cold, so I’m drinking this cold with milk and sugar. It’s nice! I taste a lot of cream flavor along with a little berry in some sips. I did try it hot, and it’s much better cold. I always enjoy trying a new S&V tea! Apparently this has cocoa in it, but I don’t taste that.
