Meh… Far too much cinnamon here to taste anything else. It’s pretty to look at, and makes a nicely tinted tea, but aside from that, it doesn’t have much to offer. I’m hoping it was a function of what ended up in my cup… Maybe the next cup will be what I was looking for. (temp 95 stepp 3 min…iPad hates the slider bars!)

While this tea is good, do not expect it to taste anything like it’s name or it’s smell. The aroma from the canister seduced me into buying 2 oz of this but sadly, it tastes nothing like how it smells. It’s good, don’t get me wrong, but compared to the aroma it’s a bit weak (even when I use more tea than directed). I wish it had a stronger nutty flavor.

I like to let it cool a little as I find it’s easier to taste all the notes after it’s cooled. I agree with the other poster who said it tasted a bit like apple cider. If I wanted apple cider though, it’s certainly cheaper.

Not sure if I’d order it again.

That’s it! It tastes like the hot apple cider packs my mom used to buy. I definitely agree, nothing like the name. Which is odd, given how easy it is to add nut flavor ( I think they should have skip the cinnamon).

So I am new to this community and new to tea so bare with my novice reviews. I went to Teavana for the first time today (have been frequenting Davids since my revelation with tea) and was quite impressed that a) They had a super tasty oolong (monkey something) and were owned by starbucks (already have my gold card and would love to use my rewards for free tea).

I bought this because I really do seem to gravitate towards oolongs and was intrigued by the aroma. I got it home and brewed it hot. Immediately I smell the cinnamon, and also the chicory. My first taste was overwhelmingly cinnamon – not bad but not what I was expecting. After the cinnamon wears off I immediately taste the apple. I honestly do not taste an oolong flavour at all which is quite disappointing. After reading these reviews I now realize there isn’t much oolong in the tea so I’m glad to know I’m learning.

I bought four other teas and will try them and rate them as well.

I also bought the German Sugar. I have been trying to not add anything to my teas to have a guilt free caffeine drink but figured I would buy some and try it out.

Any thoughts on the German Sugar?

Have not used German sugar. I generally don’t use sugar in my teas, though sometimes I use splenda for things like chai. Have used honeybush as a natural sweetener for herbals that are too tart.

I absolutely love this tea. I think that the taste is magnificent although I can’t quite put my finger on what it reminds me of. I have never had CremBrûlée so i guess it’s not that. Anyways, I am very happy with my purchase!

This is such a great tea. I like it sweetened with rock sugar, and while it doesn’t need half-and-half, it is such a deliciously decadent treat when it’s made creamy. I never get tired of this tea. However, I think I should have steeped it just a little longer this morning (or used more leaves) because it was a a bit on the weak side.

Really lovely tea! I steep it for a long time because I like my tea strong, and 3 minutes doesn’t really seem to get it there. It’s just the right balance of sweetness and a bit savory from the nuts and chicory root. Definitely recommend this as a snack time tea.

This tea reminds me of a Roasted Almond tea I get from my local tea shop, except that is an herbal tea and this has oolong in it. They smell the same right out of the bag – warm and nutty with hints of spice. What I’ve always hated about that tea is how the apple will overcome the nuttiness, until all I taste is low calorie apple juice. I hoped this tea might be different.

As other comments have noted, it isn’t. The first sips are heady and spicy, with only a hint of apple. But the more you drink, the more the apple takes over from the nuts and spices. I don’t taste the orange that others do, but I would agree that the complexity really only comes out in the first few sips of the first brewing. Since it’s an oolong I rebrewed it 3 times, just to see how it comes out, but alas, it’s just more apple juice.

I like it, but I probably wouldn’t repurchase it.

I was really not a fan of this tea. First, like many others have said, it tastes nothing like the description states it should. For me, the smell itself was a bit overpowering. Spicey smelling, but there was something else which I couldn’t put my finger on. Upon brewing it became a spice/fruit combo which I cared nothing for. I like both of those in a tea, but apparently not together. The tastes seemed conflicting, and to my palate it was pretty undrinkable. I tasted none of the Oolong base. Very overpowering/conflicting flavors, and as I stated, it had a taste to it that I cannot for the love of me put my finger on. Almost chemical? Unfortunately, this had been one of those “read the description and buy” teas. Wish I had been able to sample it first, as I wouldn’t have wasted my money.
Had to throw it out.

This is my backup for my Caribbean Calypso Maté tea when I want to switch things up for a bit. The smell is phenomenal but the actual taste feels like there’s something missing. Regardless, I never dislike drinking it or else I wouldn’t put it in my morning wake up routine hehe

Magnificent. I am really tempted to say that this is my favorite tea I’ve ever had. I’m a big fan of oolongs, plus toasted/nutty/spicy flavors. Needless to say, this tea has it all for me. It’s got a wonderful balance of flavors, and with a hint of rock sugar it is perfectly sweet for my tastes. I especially love it with Sweet Oolong Revolution from Teavana as well.

I keep a huge a** tin of this at all times and frequently dedication mediations sessions in gratitude of this tea (I’m exaggerating of course…but I could conceivably dedicate a shrine to this tea). That’s okay if you think I’m crazy, because I am crazy…for this tea. :)
