Very Good tea with a very smoky character in beginning steepings, and mellows somewhat on later steeps. Smoky flavor reminds me alot of a black tea or a smoky green tea..very light, but noticeable! I pick up more of a sweetness than an earthy flavor profile and a dry/puckering (astringent?) mouthfeel… which is not quite as characteristic for most pu-erhs! A very smooth pu-erh that would be very nice for someone being introduced into the world of pu-erh’s! As always …an excellent tea from “verdant” teas,..they have never disappointed me yet ;)
Thank you to Bonnie for this awesome sample ;)
This is one of the finest Pu-erh’s that I have had so far!! After brewing this exquisitely aged tea, the flavors are composed beautifully, of smooth, silky, earthy (but not musty), nutty, with vanilla like components in later steepings. This tea reminds you that it deserves the respect to be sipped and savored like a fine wine..to gulp this tea would be disrespectful ;) I wouldn’t mind drinking this everyday. Where can I get More of this Tea Bonnie !
A very well blended tea that has ingredients of Bergamot,Jasmine flowers,Frankincense and Oolong Teas that blend together in perfect harmony to create a blend with a very bright, cheery, sunny and refreshing experience. NO ONE blends teas together in such perfect synchronicity as Verdant teas, their Alchemy blends are simply Exquisite!! The first thing you notice after drinking this tea is an elevation of your mood, it brings about a “Sunny Disposition”, the perfect tea for the transition in seasons to colder and gloomier weather ;) Early steepings are very bergamot/lemony, with subtle hints of jasmine and frankincense to balance out the Oolong that it is paired with. No component of the blend becomes “Unruly” at any time, and blends together like a fine perfume, in perfect harmony, with each subtlety and nuance creating the perfect symphony !!

Thank you to Invader Zim for this wonderful sample (and and many others;)
This is the first Laoshan green I have ever had!! It was very good with light whisperings of seaweed/grass notes and a frothy mouth feel that were never intrusive and quite pleasant even though I don’t light vegetal tastes!! It seems to be a recurring theme that “Verdant” has the best teas in the business,..I have not had a tea from them yet that I do not like or hasn’t become the standard in which I view/brew all teas!! Amazing company..Amazing tea!!!! ;-)

Very delicious tea, that was not overly powerful with jasmine fragrance. Very smooth and sultry!! A nice jasmine “pearl” that can be enjoyed anytime ;)

Thank you to Bonnie for this Awesome sample
This tea was Amazing , and I literally said aloud “Wow This tea is really good” !! It was quite shocking to find a green tea with this much flavor. It had a sort of “black tea” component , with hints of a very smooth green tea (No vegetal taste at all ;), and a floral note thrown in for good measure!! It was very smooth and re-steeped over 5 infusions for me, while still retaining it’s “black tea” quality (I’m not usually a fan of Black tea..but this tea was lighter and more floral)! I will be ordering some very soon to enter it in my daily rotation of green teas, along with my Jasmine Dragon Pearls, dragonwell, and genmaicha !!
Thank You to Bonnie for this wonderful sample
This was actually a very good white tea…Tasted very similar to a green tea, with a melon/peach taste that was very subtle, and left the palate with a rich creamy texture. Quite good for a white tea ;) ( I usually like green or stronger oolong teas better)
Thank you Teavivre for this sample
Very good green tea that was smooth on the palate, with very subtle peach-like flavors ;)
Love this tea!! I drink it almost every night at dinner time ;) I only use 2 teaspoons (8 Oz Water), then brew it for 4-8 infusions while storing it in a thermos for drinking ( I share this tea with my Mom ;) It is delicious , refreshing, and helps with digestion as well ;-D
Thank you Bonnie for this Sample
This tea was very smooth, without too much earthiness ;) First couple of infusions had a sort of fishy aroma from the wet leaves..thank god the smell was not detected in the Tea infusion! This would be an easy tea for people who are daunted by Pu-erh’s! I actually liked the Ripened aged Pu-er better..it had a deeper earthy flavor which I quite enjoyed ;-D
