Tummy Tea

I’m a newbie tea drinker (especially to herbal teas), but I really enjoyed this tea. The licorice root was pretty incredible – such a lovely, sweet aftertaste, nothing like licorice-flavoured lollies.

This tea is amazing for an upset tummy or even a headache. It has a beautiful flavour, peppermint with the licorice (which I tend to hate) is perfect and it has a very cool, sweet aftertaste.

Ermagawd this tea is so ahmazing! You get the hot tea taste at first, then you get a massive, cooling minty taste and feel in your mouth, and when you’ve swallowed it all, it has an amazing, sugary aftertaste from those calendula flowers! Argh it’s so complex and beautiful!!

The licorice root in this is amazing – it doesn’t taste like licorice candies, there’s just a very smooth and sweet general flavour and aftertaste. It’s definitely not overpowering, and the fennel seeds and peppermint help balance out the sweetness with freshness.

I tried it iced in the store and was sold, it’s just as yummy hot – better, even, as when cold the peppermint harked back to mouthwash a little bit(!).
