Works to relax and rejuvenate me. To me, this is another good cheaper tea with decent ingredients. Really pleasant. Not something to hunt for, though.

I was excited by the mix of ingredients in this blend of green tea, green yerba maté, and green rooibos (spearmint! rose hips! black pepper!) but when it’s brewed, the spearmint dominates for me. It’s fine, but just tastes like a green mint tea to me, which is less interesting than what I’d hoped for.

It’s been a while since I’ve had this tea. I found it at Target one day. Since green tea is my favorite kind of tea and I like Tazo Zen, I figured I’d try this. I really enjoyed this tea for two reasons: the green yerba mate and the spearmint. First, I had yerba mate in other drinks, but never knew what it tasted like until I had this tea. It’s flavor alone is almost enough to make this a good tea. Second, I’m not a big a fan of spearmint. It is subtle in this tea and marries well with green yerba mate. Not only that, but it help cover any of the grassy bitterness that can be associated with lower quality green teas. I really enjoy this tea, but I have found a comparable taste in the Detox Tea offered by Capital Teas.

I have been through a real roller coaster ride with Tazo Thrive. I loved my first pot prepared with the loose leaf blend. Then I bought a bunch of filter bags, which were a huge disappointment.

Today, I am happy to report on my first cold-brewed pitcher of iced Tazo Thrive, prepared using 8 filter bags in 1 quart of water and steeped overnight in the refrigerator.

It tastes very good! What a pleasant surprise. I’ll definitely be using the remaining filter bags for iced tea this summer. The flavors mingle together perfectly. Especially prominent are mint, pepper, and green tea. Cold is the way to go for this blend, it seems! I brewed my pitcher on the strong side so that I could fill a glass with ice and it would melt without over-diluting the tea. The final iced tea is very refreshing.

One concern may be that I’m going to be consuming a large amount of caffeine if I finish this pitcher this afternoon. On the other hand, a single large iced coffee would likely have more! Oh well, I suppose that it does not matter very much since I appear to have adopted a nocturnal schedule anyway—up until 3am last night…

I count this as a new tea experience: first cold-brewed Tazo Thrive. I am increasing my overall rating for this tea, but it’s important to note that I approve of the filter bag only for iced tea.

I’m a Tazo fan, tea bags and bottled. I had several $1 off coupons and luckily Target had it on sale for $2.46. I bought 5 boxes, lol. Im a single parent and business owner so I need all of the energy I can get. This gets me going for a few hours but then phases out. The taste is vvery good, and Ive thought about making a pitcher of it. I’m usually not a spearmint person, but its very subtle in this tea.

A pretty interesting tea for what you find at supermarkets, kinda like Tension Tamer but with some green tea added in. Not bad, but nothing to write home about.

I really like the hint of mint in this tea. I find it great for a morning pick me up that leaves me feel focused.
