Better Belly Blend

Herbal Tea by two leaves and a bud

If your stomach needs a soother, we’re here to help. Settle your tummy with this blend of fennel, ginger, anise, mint and caraway. The pleasant taste from crisped mint, calendula, apple pieces makes this an after-dinner drink you can finally feel good about.

I indulged a little too much with my dinner (I made potato gratin the other night with smoked cheddar, gouda, swiss and gruyere, and it was even better as left overs! YUM) and I’m feeling a little over-stuffed! I figured this was a good time to break out this better belly blend!

It has a nice ginger and mint aroma, and I can smell the fennel and anise too (two spices I really love) so I figured this is something I will really enjoy.

Yep! Sweetness and a licorice-like sharpness, crisp, fresh mint… peppery ginger. The apple gives the flavor a smooth flavor – it doesn’t taste like a bunch of herbs and spices, it tastes like a delicious tisane.

I like it… especially after that last tea! And it’s nice and soothing for my tummy too!

I can mostly taste the ginger and a little mint. Oddly tho the thing I taste the most of is licorice but it’s not listed as an ingredient.

I’m not overly fond of this taste but I can drink the cup and it is settling my stomach so I guess I won’t be too critical.
