15713 Tasting Notes
Most awesome tea of the day today + a little cacao made for me getting through the day without losing it! GGOOOOOO TEA!
Is this the latest batch? I’m planning on leaving mine sealed for a while and was curious about the harvest. All I remember if you discussing Zhu Rong and Yu Lu Yan Cha.
uh this batch is from july 2013 ro 2014…i can’t recall which. Terri gave it to me. I haven’t opened the preorder that i picked up from this year’s most recent harvest.
Another tea from tonight, largely so i could put the wee little bit Kittenna gave back to me in to the tin with the rest of this. haha. Not that it made it in to the tin, but at least i’ve condensed the bag down. 3 more days left in october and i’m curious if i can get to 75 just for fun. I’m not all that confident that i will since i’m not focusing on teas with smaller amounts – rather just letting my tastebuds dictate. And tonight…they wanted this! :) Still enjoying this creamy vanilla like spicy tea at about a 7 min steep…anything less is too wimpy :)
tried this one as a latte tonight. This is more like dark chocolate than milk chocolate, but it’s still just not what i was hoping for when i picked it up. I’m not a HUGE fan of the base but the chocolate is decent for what it’s worth. Maybe a little sugar would have improved things but i didn’t get around to that as i drink most of my teas without sweetner
I definitely got milk chocolate over dark. Agreed on the base though – I think that could really improve it.
the “stick” pieces are a little weird too..not sure if you had any in the samples i sent over. This was one of the teas from a random vancouver company i walked past.
I didn’t notice any “stick” pieces… interesting.
Another tea from this afternoon. While i adore this tea, i totally don’t know how anyone would be able to steep is for a full 5mins and drink it :) about 2 mins is all i can handle before it’s just too spicy :)
this one tastes funny to me today. I really hope it’s just my tastebuds having a weird day or else this is getting regifted to a friend. Today this is like burnt something er other….blech.
Oh, no! That makes me sad. :( Cookie has always been so awesome for me. Give it another shot on a different day – maybe it will be better. You have now inspired me to go straight to my pantry and break out the Cookie. Must make sure it’s still a winner…

Interesting – I wrote a tasting note that I thought it tasted burned, but thought I had over steeped it. Either way, I generally like it. :))

Almost at the end of this one and still enjoying it. I really like the fruit teas that Riverteas has, though i’m not much of a fan of their actual teas. However, this one does the trick for me for sure!
little out of it today but i’ve been drinking this over the course of the morning. I’m still undecided about it..but i think it’s falling in to that category of teas that i like, but don’t need to repurchase. :) more to come later i’m sure as i have another package of this to drink later.
