2958 Tasting Notes
This is a wonderfully creamy tea that tastes quite green, yet distinctly oxidised. The best part about butterfly teas is watching it unravel into beautiful whole leaves in your cup.
Flavors: Cream, Green, Mineral, Sweet, Warm Grass, Tannin
Preparation
This tea was surprisingly pleasant for a bagged tea. I oversteeped it slightly (about 7 minutes) and it turned into a very strong, but not bitter/astringent, brew. This tastes like a plain English Breakfast tea: strong flavours of black tea, tannins, slightly malty.
Flavors: Malt, Tannin, Tea
Preparation
I just tried a cup of this today because I felt like trying something new. It tastes of herbs, dried flowers, and fruit. I can taste hibiscus (but it isn’t a sour tisane overall), lavender, chamomile, rose, lavender, and something fruity. I’m not sure what sort of fruit, but it tastes like it belongs in a herbal tisane or granola bar. I like the mild sweetness from the fruit; this makes for a fine iced or hot tea.
Flavors: Dried Fruit, Flowers, Fruity, Herbs, Lavender, Rose, Sweet
Preparation
So I just had to try this, because it is the most ridiculous sounding blend I’ve ever heard of. I was surprised to find it actually sounds good. I can taste fruit (coconut, pineapple, maybe blueberry. I like the coconut in this one. Sometimes I find the coconut David’s Tea uses tastes soapy or overpowers the blend, but this one has a nice balance. The rooibos brings a nice sweetness to balance the acidic fruits. Unfortunately I did not get any jellybeans in my 100g.
Flavors: Coconut, Fruity, Pineapple, Rooibos, Sweet
Preparation
I’m a big fan of sweet desserty tisanes, so I enjoyed this. It smells like caramel and spices, and tastes even better. I taste popcorn, cinnamon, caramel, vanilla, brown sugar, apple, and mulled cider.
Flavors: Apple, Caramel, Cinnamon, Coconut, Popcorn, Spices, Sweet
