From DAVIDsTEA

Let’s face it, the best thing about fall is the return of pumpkin spiced lattes. And this rich black tea is the perfect way to kick off the season. It’s got all the warmth of cinnamon and cloves, plus the sweetness of caramel and pumpkin candy. For a true autumn treat, top it up with steamed milk and stir in a spoonful of brown sugar. It’ll make you wish it were fall year round.

It’s September and Pumpkin everything is upon us. Seeing as how I don’t drink coffee I figured I would have to try a pumpkin tea something or another. I prefer my chai to be spicy. A bit of zip. This has chai flavor but for me it’s too sweet. Good base. Although I can barely taste it. Add a bit more zip and I think this would be a hit. Uh… you know… I’m not really sensing much pumpkin either… Or was the pumpkin just those candy pieces?

I got a cup of this with some agave nectar added to go this evening. The flavour was milder than I expected. I tasted mostly nutmeg and cream, with a hint of cinnamon as I progressed through the cup. It was nice, but I know that when I buy teas from David’s Tea that I can never make them taste as good at home as they do in the store.

boychik

they use more leaves in a store

I know – I think they’re also a lot more generous with the sweetener than I am.

August 27th too early for Pumpkin? Nay! I hope that they bring back Pumpkin Patch as well later on in the autumn.

I have to admit, i bought this tea a long long time ago. I tried it and didn’t care for it. It’s been sitting in the back of my tea drawer ever since.

I do know alot of people love this tea. Maybe i didnt prepare it right?

I’m knocking my rating a little, as I reviewed it only at 32 score before. I’m still not a fan, but I’m just not a Chai tea fan. Still, it’s not so bad.

Ahh this tea,
Yeah it’s spring but I keep turning to this tea lately.
The weather where I live is like October right now which is so unusual.
We’re used to tons of snow and never ending cold and it’s only -7 – +2 and no snow on the road.
Anyways lol, I enjoy this tea straight as usual. it has savoury flavours just right.
When I drink this tea, it feels like I’m drinking a rich, high caloric drink.

Weird squash taste, not really “pumpkin-y” and not good either.

Got a sample of this from the very generous, Boychik!
Wasn’t sure if I’d like this one since I’m not a super huge chai fan unless it’s cloudy and rainy (and it barely ever is here, sadly ><). So didn’t buy it, but been wanting to know what the hype was all about at the same time.
I honestly expected this tea to be super pumpkin-y or mainly just chai.
But I was pleasantly surprised!
Chai is usually really strong, and almost too strong sometimes. But the pumpkin in this tea really balances it out. It had a really good mix of both flavors.
Plus!
It’s pretty freakin’ cute with the little pumpkin sprinkles…or are they hearts? Kinda hard to tell. xD But I love tea with sprinkles in them…makes it so cute. xD
This may actually be the best pumpkin tea I’ve ever tried. Not sure if I will purchase any this year, but I have a close friend who would love this. Hopefully he will be in the states next year and if he is and this tea comes back again next fall I’ll totally get some for him. That’s a pretty for sure thing if it comes back next year. :P I’m sure that drinking the rest of this generous sample will help me decide about purchasing any this year though.
So happy I finally tried it! Definitely understand the hype! :D
Thank you so much for the sample, Boychik! :D :D

We got a tiny bit of rain here this morning! Did you get any?

boychik

Glad you liked it. It is not spectacular but it’s pretty good as a comfort tea

Ost

I didn’t, Flyawaybirdie! Jealous though! Too hot up here still!

And thank you so much again, boychik! :D

Ah the triumphant return of fall! Not more than two weeks ago, the summer was sweltering on, but overnight the season has changed.

Nothing ushers in all the wonderfully crisp feelings of fall quite like this perfect cup of tea.
