drank Guava Green Tea by Tea of Life
1908 tasting notes

This Christmas one of my gifts was an assorted box of Tea of Life black, green, and white teabags, mostly in fruit flavours.

This one certainly smelled promising – the scent was very much like actual guava and not just Generic Tropical Fruit Flavour™. And at first the flavour seems nice too, the green tea base wasn’t too harsh (always a challenge with bagged green teas because of the broken tea leaves usually used) and the flavour was distinctly guava. The problem is that after the initial fruity notes came an unpleasant aftertaste that I really dislike. It tasted almost rotten to me. I’m not sure where it’s coming from or if maybe that batch of tea was somehow spoiled. But the end result is that it completely ruined the tea for me. :(

Oh no, I hope the others won’t be this bad, or rotten-flavoured.

Bio

I’m a university student in her twenties who’s currently working her way toward a Bachelor of Natural Resource Science degree. I love both science and science-fiction and I’m a history nut on top of that. Maybe I should just call myself a nerd and leave it there. ;)

I’ve been drinking tea since I was young but it’s only in the past couple years that I’ve become interested in the good-quality stuff.
