Merry Cranberry from DAVIDsTEA
82

Ok, first of all, it doesn’t look a lot like the picture, but more like a pile of craisins that rolled though lawn clippings with anise on top. But, uh, in a good way? It smells almost completely of cranberry when it’s dry, but there’s not much cranberry after steeping, ime. Somehow the anise is really light and not at all overpowering like it tends to be. YUM. Downside: the chunks are so huge it’s hard to accurately judge servings? I tend to probably add TOO MUCH and I only have the wee little ornament packs so I doubt this will last very long with me. :P

Glad you liked it. I had a little sample in store and wasn’t that impressed. It wasn’t hot though so that might have been part of the problem.

Guess you didn’t get my package in the mail yet, eh? Hope you do soon!

I drink a lot of tea (and coffee!) and do other things sometimes, like hug cats (3 black cats!) and homeschool a child (the Snick, Snickety Snickface the Sharkboy) and make art and draw things and watch too much television and pretend I’m not home when people knock on the door!

I love art (comics, illustration, storytelling, handcrafts, papercrafts, making things, sharing things, INK, COLOUR, puppetry, painting, photography and obsessively recording things, making up songs and making up words and singing to my cats, plotting melodramatic horrible fanfic with K (the partner in crime), poetry that punches you in the face, having ideas and seeing them turn into THINGS and STUFF, scissors and glue and glitter and making a big mess on the floor)

..and FOOD (yummy things, fall harvests, special treats, preservation and crock pots and canning and growing green things, bright colours and spicy things and new to me foods and fresh fruit and veggies from the garden and living gluten free with no regrets, baking omg baking everything, and into health and how food affects bodies and brains and emotions and how a cup of black tea can be comforting with milk and sugar)

…and most houseology pursuits (well, the fun ones like alternative housing, diy, renovations and building creatively, creative spaces, decluttering and organization and half-assed feng shui, design, eco-housing, cob, small houses, voluntary simplicity, having a good place for a good family and filling it with cats even if you have to pull cat hair out of everything you eat, engineering a less stressful life through environment and care of that environment and light and fresh air)

…and the outdoors (it’s scarf and hat times and fingerless mittens, rocky beaches and bird-watching, racoons and otters, orcas and squirrels, thunder and lighting, windstorms, boats and the ocean and seagulls shrieking, environmental concerns, water, sunshine, bike rides, short cuts through the bush, tree climbing and fire pits)

…and humans (even though I’m a hermit and an introvert, humans are so cool – alphabets and language and dictionaries and body language and mirroring and the way humans talk to one another and make themselves understood, mental health and brains in general, therapy and brain-detangling, daily rhythms, laughing, children, babies, autism and ADD, different ways of learning, homeschooling and reading and listening to radio shows and podcasts, transformative works in all their brilliant varieties, lists and ambitious projects even if they’re never completed, architecture and science, habit and routine, jokes and songs and rhymes and memory work and family stories passed down)…

I LOVE A LOT OF THINGS.

My ratings probably skew high because of this, but I can’t help being optimistic, it is the natural way of things.
