I just got this in the mail today! I’m not normally a fan of fruity teas, but this one is nice. It literally brought a smile to my face as I was drinking it. It tastes like sunshine in a cup! I love the creaminess mixed with the notes of citrus. I approve!

I stopped into Whole Foods, needing a quick tea fix. I’ve been out for the past several week. No need to worry, I just placed an order at Butiki Teas. This tea was on sale so I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised! The tea has a green tea base with notes of citrus and licorice. It’s light and refreshing, I approve! It is a bagged tea so the flavor isn’t as full as I would like but regardless this is a good tea.
I went to Whole Foods looking for some loose leaf tea. I didn’t find any, but I picked up this tea instead. This one is kind of lacking in flavor, I have to put at least two bags in my cup. I think I’ll stick with my loose leaf.
My stepbrother got me this for Christmas (he definitely got taken by the pushy salespeople, tin and all!). I’ve always wanted to try this but could never justify spending that much, however I love this! It is extremely grassy and vegetal which I absolutely love. This is the perfect green tea.
One of my favorite things in the world is sitting on the couch with my two year old in my lap, drinking tea together in the mornings.Lately we’ve been drinking this tea because we are out of black loose leaf. We both enjoy it, not my favorite tea but it has a nice warm flavor. I steep it for about 5-7 minutes, the spices aren’t as strong as I would like but they do the job!
Oh I love this one! My 18 month old and I have been sipping it together (he loves it too!) I tried it warm and cold, and I have to say I like it warm the best. I love the way the cinnamon and mint warm my throat as they go down. Yummm, I can’t wait to order more.
I agree with Michelle on this one, I can’t possibly the match the eloquent description that Brenden has provided. Every time I drink this tea, I imagine myself walking in a Michigan forest at dawn. I drank five cups of the Sleeping Bear Blend this morning, and I’m still unable to find the right words to describe this one. I love how light this tea is, especially mixed with the faint hints of pine needles. It does have a buttery flavor to it, which I’m normally not a huge fan of, but it works in this tea. This is definitely one of my favorite green teas.
I actually really like this tea. It’s very earthy, I enjoy that in black teas. I don’t exactly know how to describe this tea, but it’s nice. It has kind of a wood flavor, which I enjoy. However, it isn’t very strong and therefore I had to use a lot of leaves. I’m not sure it was worth the price, $14 for less than 2 oz.
Goodness I haven’t been on here in awhile. I still have some swaps to mail out from months ago (I promise I haven’t forgotten about you!). I actually haven’t been home in several weeks and have been extremely busy with work and school which takes me to this rating.
I’ve been staying with my Mom (long story and it’s related to school not marital issues), and consequently I do not have my tea with me. I went to the grocery store in desperate need of tea and was surprised to discover that Lipton made pyramid sachets. It could be because I microwaved my water but I thought this tea was rather tasteless. I can’t say much more than that because I really couldn’t detect any distinct flavor, it essentially tasted like hot water.
Thank you Madeline for the wonderful sample! Your sample box has really been a treat. I really like this tea, I’ve been blending it with Teavana’s English Breakfast. I like how strong and distinct the hazlenut flavor is. However, I do have to be careful about over steeping this one, I’ve done it a few times and it was overwhelmingly bitter.
Well I bought a bunch of this tea because I got a really good deal on it. This tea smells like that zebra colorful gum, and it kind of tastes that way as well. It tastes like buttery zebra colorful gum, hahaha! It’s not that bad, just a bit too flavorful for my taste. I also didn’t taste the green tea, it was more like a dessert tea.
EDIT: Let me know if anyone wants to try some, I have 4 oz. and really don’t think I’ll be able to drink it all.
Thank you so much Madeline for all of the samples! They honestly lifted my spirits and helped me get through writing my 40 page law paper.
I love green tea, so much. However, am I the only one who thinks that chinese gunpowder teas taste like cigarette smoke?!?! I can’t get past it…
Thank you Rumpus Parable for this delcious sample!!!
This tea was amazing, simply amazing. I think it is the best black tea that I’ve ever had. I love how strong the flavors are, especially the hints of carmel. Yumm!!!
My husband was in Royal Oak and discovered Goldfish Tea. He went in and bought the Cloud and Mist Green Tea, he’s so nice! I acutally really like this tea. It’s strong, which took me by surprise, but that’s exactly how I like my green tea. It’s vegetal, with some nutty undertones. My only complaint is that there are no descriptions or steeping instructions on the bag. I had no idea what temperature to brew this at, or for how long. I just guessed and went with 170 for 2 minutes. I think I’ll try bringing down the temperature next time, it was a tad bitter.
I just got this sample in the mail today, thanks Epi Tea!!! I wish I could say that I liked it, but I want to give you my honest opinion. I thought it tasted like children’s orange cough syrup. The orange was just too overwhelming for me. However, the aroma was wonderful: just the right mix of orange with an earthy undertone. I’m so sorry Epi Tea… but I really appreciate the sample.
Much too floral for my liking. I prefer a stronger, earthy, vegetal green tea. I also thought it was rather weak, I had to put more than twice as much tea as the label suggested.
Edit: I’m starting to get used to the floral taste, and I’m actually enjoying this tea now. This is a nice mid-afternoon tea light tea.
Not bad for a bagged tea. It was a bit weak for me though, I like strong green tea.
This was my first purchase from Teavana. I was very impressed by the aesthetic appeal, but less impressed with the taste. Light and flowery is how I would describe it, I was expecting more of an appearance from the black tea. However, I loved the aroma.
Edit: I’ve changed my mind, I’m just starting to really enjoy this tea. I’ll add more of a description later!
