From DAVIDsTEA

Feel the heat

Some like it hot….and some like it REALLY hot. If you’re the kind of person who keeps a bottle of hot sauce on them at all times, this little number will be right up your alley. It’s a fiery green tea blend with a big hit of cinnamon, spiked with hot chilli peppers and pink peppercorns. Think of your favourite cinnamon candy, only all grown up. Mama mia – that’s-a spicy tea ball!

Ingredients: Organic: green tea, cinnamon, safflower, pink peppercorn, chilli pepper, natural flavouring*.

MmmmMMmmmm….

This is one hell ‘ova spicy tea, but oh lordy I do love it! This is the tea, that introduced my to the realm of tea. I especially love that it is packed with tons of health benefits (Green Tea, Pepper, Chili, Cinnamon, etc.). Drinking this mean your going to get a butt-kicking kidney cleanse, as well as shed a tiny bit of water weight. This tea quite literally tastes like melted cinnamon heart candy with a little more spice (thanks to the chili flake/threads). I really can’t describe my love affair with this tea. I have only drank this tea hot and with a touch of agave (to really get the cinnamon candy taste)… I really can’t imagine trying this cold because I have a feeling it would lead to wasted tea and a break up.

This has also been one of the few green teas that I find nearly impossible to burn. I have a feeling the cinnamon hides any bitterness if burning does happen

PS If you want a cinnamon tea that really packs a punch, mix this with cinnamon heart (also by DAVIDsTEA) and add creamed honey with cinnamon… this is not for the weak, but it is a great morning brew or after spending hours in the cold.

Totally delicious and absoloutly wonderful! I’m a spicy tea lover so this is perfect for me. The chili pepper balances perfectly with the cinnamon making a tasty spicy yet warm winter treat! (or any time of the year actually)

I have bought this tea twice now from Davids Tea twice now and I like it. For me the taste ranges evrytime I make it somehow.. Sometimes it ends up tastes like Teddy Graham Cookies (unsure how..) and sometimes (like today) it tastes like cinnamon with a bit of spice. Not my most favorite, but I do enjoy it! Although, I think once I finish my supply, I will be buying a different one.

I love this tea, it is one of my go to teas when I have a sore throat. The burning relieves the soreness in some way. It tastes like those little cinnamon heart candies though a bit more spicy. It is very sweet on its own so there is no need for sugar. This is a tea I will always keep stocking in my cupboard. :)

I thought I’d love this tea given how much I love cinnamon hearts… but… it’s just okay. As far as spicy teas are concerned, I’d rather brew a cup of super ginger. Not the best, far from the worst. Not something I’d ever get more than 25g of.

I tried this tea when it came out in February 2012. Never regretted it. It’s my favorite: It tastes exactly like the little Valentine’s day cinnamon heart candies. I can drink it all day long and feel like I would be eating all those spicy red candies. Awesome.

I feel like the Cinnamon Chai Roobios has ruined me for other cinnamon teas. With the rooibios the cinnamon taste was so strong that all others fail in comparison. If I had had Hot Lips first then I am sure my rating would be higher. It is definitely okay… not bad at all, just not as good as the cinnamon chai.

Edited to add: I think this tea made me sick.. It had a fishy aftertaste and it felt like I had just eaten seaweed. I think it’s the green tea. Either way it was really gross and really messed up my stomach.

Tried this with the Valentine’s Day collection that came out for 2012. It’s meant to taste kind of like cinnamon hearts, I guess… but if I wanted cinnamon hearts, I’d just eat cinnamon hearts. The spice in this one tastes very synthetic for some reason. This one’s not for me.

Too spicy. Can’t handle it. Gave it away to a friend.
