I can’t say as I am a fan of the dry blend…uggg…but it gets better when you add water! :)
I couldn’t even tell you want it remind me of…dry…maybe…Rocks, Rooibos, and Vanilla or cream? Not sure.

Once infused is DOES smell a lot more like amaretto. Not sweet smelling…more nutty than amaretto sour type…if you know what I mean.

It’s a nice reddish-orange-brown in my cup.

The taste is first Rooibos then amaretto they finishes a little like almond or a like-nut. There is a hint of creaminess to it…but I wouldn’t really call it sweet.

It’s a nice change from the run-of-the-mill Rooibos.

I won these teas in a contest that was run by Dan on Steepster that was great fun, and got me tea prizes!

I find the labels on the tea samples to be perfect, they include the company name, tea name, tea type, and steeping directions. I have been informed that the samples that you buy on the web site, or any teas purchased on the site, will come in food safe, plastic lined, kraft bags which keep light out and keep the tea fresh for about 4-5 months. Tea is best stored in tins which are not clear and air tight, since light activates the steeping process and moisture as well. The sample bags I received were about 2-3 cups each, where purchased samples are larger.

Post-Steep Additives: Rock sugar, more amaretto flavor

Resteep: weak, tossed

Nice dessert tea.

Thank you to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me some of this tisane to try.

I brewed this up latte-style! And it is YUM! YUM! YUM! as a latte! The creaminess is a perfect match for the sweet almond flavor. So good!

So very yummy!

I’ve only ever SMELT amaretto, never tasted it, but there is somewhat of a vague comparison in the scent. I don’t know, I haven’t sniffed it RECENTLY (not that I make it a habit or anything), but I’ve found it to have a syrupy sweet scent that I rather dislike. This, however, is a sweet, nutty, and fruity smell.

Sipping it, I get rooibos, and the SMELL of amaretto in taste-form. What. A sort of pungent, soursweet numbingly alcoholic taste. I’m not sure if I like it, but I know my mother rather enjoys amaretto, and I’m considering offering some to her next time I see her.

Apparently it’s amaretto that I am tasting. :O Don’t really know what that is to be honest, but if I were to describe it in other words, I’d just say that this tea tastes a lot like cherry and berries. Not really sure how else to describe it.
It’s interesting though.
Definitely taste the woody rooibos, but it’s not overpowering in this cup, which is good. Anyway, this one is interesting. Not sure what to think.
Thanks Albertocanfly for broadening my tea horizons!
