This cup has some serious HEFT to it! It is definitely a kick in the cup! And I can already feel the effects of it … the caffeine is running through my veins … encouraging me to get up and get busy. House work (ugh) is waiting, and must be done. Might as well take advantage of the kick while I’ve got it, right?

Soon as I saw this, I thought… I wonder how it compares to Queen Catherine!!
And you know, it’s not bad but the Queen will always reign in my book.
This is bold and malty and seems to have something a little extra, similar to the queen but only as good as a fair imitation. Well, it IS great for a black. Only two real steeps though. The third one fell far short of decent.
Will write more on this one later! So tired… I just got home from seeing West Side Story. It was fun, but now this girl needs some zzzs!!!

Sipdown!!!
Somehow though, watching teas dwindle cup by cup is immensely frustrating. I’m the type that needs to finish things if they are on my plate, asap, for some reason. I’m ocd like that it seems(or rather, in my cupboard) and so when I do actually manage to finish a tea supply, it’s more of a “FINALLY!” than it is an achievement.
So while I really enjoyed this tea, I’m relieved to see it done.
In fact, I’ve been itching to purge my cupboard and just get back to a core tea supply that I can rely on. Is that strange? I really like my variety so it really makes no sense to me. I find it a little contradictory of how I am. Gah!
Anyhow, on my way out the door now, so I’ll finish that thought later

So this is a nice black tea…love the basicness of it and though I don’t get the kick in the face of caffeine that everyone else had, this is a really nice staple for the house :)

Sip down! At least I can say I managed to get through ONE of my teas this weekend with the 8? I added from butiki lol still enjoy this tea.

WOW!
Strong!
Black!
Bold!
Fairly Malty!
WOW!

I have a feeling I will be bouncing off the walls – COOL!

First up…plain

I am going to try one of their sugar sticks in the next one just for KICKS (pardon the pun)

For someone who NEVER adds sugar to their teas…for my 2nd cup of this one from Red Leaf I decided to follow their optional suggestion by adding one of their White Sugar Sticks to it. And I must say it was very good. It does take the edge off of the WICKED BOLD Black tea taste – but I guess it all depends which way you want to go! I LOVE the boldness of this but I have to say – this is one tea I could go with or without sugar…I enjoyed BOTH cups!
