Yep, I’ve definitely got a sore throat which is usually the first warning sign I have if I’m about to come down with a cold or fly virus. This tea, if nothing else feels nice on my throat – I added a teaspoon of wildflower honey for extra ‘lubrication’. ;)

Its taste isn’t really remarkable in any way; it’s pepperminty, but it’s a mild peppermint, not the full-on cold, mouth numbing sensation I usually get with straight peppermint tea. Its also got a slightly herb-y sort of quality to it, though nothing near so obnoxiously ‘good for you’-tasting as RoT’s Get Clean tea.

It’s another cold day and I’m feeling a bit fluey so I’m drinking this to warm up. This is such a ‘hot’ tea with the cinnamon and ginger. Normally I’d be making ‘blargh’ faces at the hibiscus but the fruity-sweet plum flavour seem to counterbalance it.

I resteeped the leaves while I was making supper. The result is a lighter brew that doesn’t need milk (and would probably be the worse for it if you did). The chocolate flavour is still there but it’s more hidden; you have to look for it in each sip.

“look for it in each sip”… now I’m imagining a tongue w/ eyes=P

It’s been awhile since I’ve had this tea so I figured I should revisit it. In and of itself it isn’t a bad tea I suppose, but what I want to know is where the hell does it get off maskerading as tropical tea?! This basically tastes like a rather robust Morrocan Mint tea – there was maybe a little bit of fruitiness on the second steep, but other than that, all I’m tasting in mint and green tea.

I’m going to miss this tea when it’s gone (which will be soon); it’s so smooth it practically caresses the tongue as it goes down. I think I might be detecting a hint of vanilla in it too, now that I think about it.

How does this work for resteeps? I’d think the chocolate flavor would drop off much quicker than their plain chocolate tea cuz the chips melt in the 1st cup.

Bleh. Chocolate teas make me sick. I don’t know what it is about them. The flavor just never settles with me.

Part of me wants to take my remaining Ceylon and just toss a few pieces of chocolate chips inside the tin.

+ 1 for editing comments. Excuse my malformed sentence. I need some caffeine.

This tea does taste rather like a medicinal tea would, so I wonder if I steeped it to medicinal strength (ie. 10-15 minutes) if it would cure all my ills?

I re-steeped and the bergamot was just a light, citrus-y note hanging out in the background. I’ve got maybe a cup’s worth of this tea left, but I’m definitely putting it on my Shopping List to get more of in the future. :)

I steeped it for a bit longer than I usually do and interestingly enough, what comes out isn’t more bergamot flavour but a stronger white-tea taste.

You know, even if this doesn’t taste very much like goji berries, it’s still not a bad-tasting tea.

Resteeping the leaves from earlier. The tea is too thin for milk, but it’s fine without it in my opinion. I think more of the lemongrass flavour comes out now as opposed to the first steep.

I’m a university student in her twenties who’s currently working her way toward a Bachelor of Natural Resource Science degree. I love both science and science-fiction and I’m a history nut on top of that. Maybe I should just call myself a nerd and leave it there. ;)

I’ve been drinking tea since I was young but it’s only in the past couple years that I’ve become interested in the good-quality stuff.
